Honesty
I am a very honest person and in this blog I am going to be brutally honest about what's on my mind. I am okay with see miniscule progress but seeing no progress is VERY frustrating. Ive only been premium a little less than a month which is not long at all and I had no delusions of grandeur that I was going to become rich in a month but I at least wanted a click. One single freakin click. And the more I look and see people with dozens, even one man with over 100 posts on his page without any profit is not very encouraging. I'm trying to give this a chance but if I am going to pay $50 a month, which to some people might not be much, but to me right now every dollar matters. I read some of the success stories but they are so dang vague it is hard to see real progress and the details to attain it. Weighing my options here. I have a vision what I want my site to be but if nobody even sees it then what's the point?

Hi Walter,
It's hard to read a post like this where you can tell you are very frustrated with how things are going for you. It can be disheartening. I started out paying for my premium membership on a monthly basis and then switched to yearly because it works out cheaper to do things this way. In that time, I have had a few sales, a few clicks, but nothing regular yet. But in saying that, I have seen so much personal progress and have even started to get some organic traffic and with those a few sales. I say nothing regular yet, because that is the important point here, I know with all my heart that I will succeed at this. It may not be tomorrow, or this month, or this year even, but I am prepared to stay with this because I believe in it. I am a Carer, and sometimes, I can go months without being able to post a single article because of the commitments of my caring role. But I still paid for my premium membership the whole time. Why? Because I see it as a business and even though I can't always be working on my business, my websites are still 'keeping the home fires burning' so to speak. Sometimes I will add an article to one of my social media sites to see if it will generate some traffic, which at least that keeps me 'out there' even when I can't work my business. On the whole, I am looking at this from a long term perspective because my own circumstances impede how quickly I can progress. You may be facing a totally different situation and can give a lot more time to getting your content out there, content and keywords are your stepping stones to success. Some people here can work on their businesses for many hours a week and will see traffic much more quickly than I have, but I haven't, and won't give up, because to me, this is my future. It may take a while to build, but this is my plan to overcome all of the financial obstacles that being a Carer with very little money coming in, face on a daily basis. I need this, and I don't plan on failing at it, no matter if it takes me a few more years yet. When I compare the cost of running a normal business with all of it's overheads and outlays, I can see how spending the $49 a month, or $588 per year is much better value to start my own business and in my own time as my time is limited. I spend more than that per year with my MLM business that I am earning nothing at all on yet even though the earnings potential is great as well. I can't tell you to stay and give it a go, if you are feeling that you should be earning money already after only being here a month, even though I urge you to consider it, I can only counsel you to work through the course and if you can afford it, give yourself some more time, because if you are committed to turning this into a business for your future, that is where your answers await. Learning how to use this platform and the affiliate marketing concepts provided here to reach the success you are dreaming of. I hope this helps you a little.
Once again, I never said I should be earning money
Hi Walt, in many ways I can sense your frustration. But, now let's be frank here. You cannot realistically expect to have people flocking to your content if you haven't given them any reason to do so. You may or may not have heard that content is king in this business. I know you know this isn't a get-rich-quick business, and to build an Internet marketing business, you have to learn the basics of building a business.
You're worried that you haven't any clicks. That's a clear sign that your content is lacking in some way. Even if your marketing skills were top notch, your content is still the key to your clicks. Not only must your content be interesting and compelling, it must also be relevant and shareable. In other words, it cannot be dull, and void of information that's useful and unique.
Content is king, need I say it again? If you feel that your niche is too small to create much content, then it might a good idea to add content that is related to your niche.
I can tell you have the energy for this business, now try to channel it toward creating great content first. Then, reassess how you feel. I have a hunch that a lot of things will change.
That's fine, but that was a small portion of what I wrote about here. Clicks/money, they are connected, one can't profit without clicks but the reason we are here is to make money. I apologise for focusing on the money aspect but that was because you were talking of other people not profiting and also that the monthly fee is a lot for you to afford, causing you to question your presence here. I was merely trying to give you another perspective on the value of WA. I visited your website the other day, and again today. You only have a few articles up so far I see. You write well, the site looks good. There are many more options still for you to write about or products and services for you to connect with, so I doubt you will run out of anything to write about anytime soon. Look at how you can make yourself different, stand out, from all the other Vegas vacation sites. Even though you may have targeted your low hanging fruit keywords, it takes time to build up your presence online for Google to actually take notice of you. That is why the training talks about writing many articles. As you grow, your recognition by Google will grow and you will get more clicks. There are many reasons that you may not have got clicks yet. As Tom says, there may be something lacking in your content causing Google to skim past you. Once your traffic grows, it will be the quality of your content that will be the deciding factor in whether someone chooses to buy at your recommendations, thus creating your profits. The person you mention who has 100 articles and no profit may also be lacking in their own site. Each person's success here depends on a few things.
1. Their content
2. Their keyword use
3. Their following of the training
4. Their willingness to work at it and be patient.
5. The number of people interested in a niche at any given time, some months may get more traffic than others due to external interest in your niche.
In your reply to Jovo earlier, it sounded like you felt you had been misled or even lied to. I don't recall seeing anything here that talked about this being a fast way to earn money, or in your case get clicks. I never expected to see progress for quite some time because the training I have done always said that it could take a year or more before you start to see some success. Some people have done more in less time, but some people may have a knack for this. I have had to learn everything, every step of the way so of course my own progress has been slow. Including the fact that my time is limited. Yet instead of working on an article now that I have time at 3.30 am, I am here writing this post to support a fellow WA member, twice now. Another bonus of being here. The community are quite willing to help each other.
At the end of the day, you need to be able to see the value of being here, realise that it will take time, the more quality work you put in, the better the chance of being noticed sooner and get more clicks, use other ways to get your content out there like social media, and don't beat yourself up about not getting clicks just yet. Only you can decide if it's worth spending the money, and only you can determine your success. Any business takes a while to grow. You may have a shop for example, and you may even get the odd passerby look in the window, but if they find nothing to invite them in, they will move on by. This is very similar, this is also a business, and you need to tempt the people to come in. Most brick and mortar businesses will run at a loss their first year, may break even their second, if they're lucky may make a profit in their third, many fail before their third year and the financial loss is enormous. Here, you aren't risking huge losses. I don't know of any other business that comes at such a low overall price with very no real risk and with both kinds, you still have to work at them, but here you don't stand to lose your premises, stock or large sums of money because you have time to work on it with only a small monthly fee (or even smaller if you buy a yearly membership). Whatever you decide to do, I hope you are successful.
