You can always learn something new, The first time I laid eyes on wealthy affiliate was actually an accident. I was about to sign up for a completely different program, and thought to myself, Just one more search. And I found a blog post that actually said something negative about the program I was looking into.

It doesn't cost any money. My first thought about the program was biased. We are flooded with everyone else's promise to deliver, and no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Just you pay monthly, and getting the same old stuff.

Well not here.

My progress thus far

Like I said at first I wasn't impressed, I went through the first stage in about an hour, then I went back and actually went through the first certification. I studied the material, looked over the videos and tried to fully understand the core concepts within the platform.

I was looking for value. I tried to go onto the 2 certification and I couldn't without paying. (I'm not mad about that though). I struggled with it for a few days, and then just told myself, you know what, out of all the "trainers" online, this one actually seems legit.

I had no idea what I was signing up for, I just did it. As of today, I am completing certification 2, and I have previewed what is to come. I take my time, I go over some lessons several times, I want to fully understand the concepts.

Do what you Passionate about.

I struggled at first finding a niche', mainly because I was worried. I was worried that I wouldn't do it correctly, and really sabotage my brand. A Little background, I started a pet centered business about 3 years ago, and It is still a giant learning curves of today. It is not a failure, but Doing the same things over and over again, you motivation decreases, and so does the bottom line.

After discussing things over with my Partner, she told me to stop wasting time on you tube, That It seems to be the same information over and over again, and you not really learning anything.

She was right, also part of the reason that I signed up. She told me to actually do the research. That I needed to. Fine, I'll spend the money. Anything else dear?

When Pawlogic first started, we were just a blog, and we sold things on eBay. Now we have a store that still isn't built, and we are no longer a blog, but only the store (that isn't active), and eBay, and Amazon. Buried in paperwork, a sinking bottom line, I said screw it, what could 49 dollars a month really hurt.

I lowered my shopify subscription, canceled another platform, that was horrible, and re-invested into wealthy affiliate. I have only paid the 19 dollars and more than gotten my moneys worth.

From the beginning I was doing it wrong. I was using sites like content king, and ripping google images, trying to get S.E. O, I think I even bought a pre-made eBay website at first because I had no idea what I was doing.

I love my animals, The reason I started Pawlogic was to share my experiences with the world, and help provide advice to people, because the industry is limited and controlled by a few giant companies.

These companies only care about profit, not the animal, so many animals have died simply because companies have been irresponsible with marketing, ingredients, and other aspects. We refuse to carry choke chains for example, or any treats made with formaldehyde. Anyway, It was pets, cars, or video games, and I went with pets.

I re-vamped the pawlogic blog, just gave it new name. Pawbulletin.

The biggest acheivment

I would say is not financial, but wealthy affiliate has definitely help build my confidence. I enjoy helping people, and I have been able to do so in this niche' as well as others. I can tell when someone is struggling with a certain topic, heck I am even still struggling with some things. It is evident how much time is placed on creating content.

I think that creating good quality content is not as simple as writing this blog post. I have to read, copy, edit, print out, re-read, place images, print out, re-read, re-edit, re-read, get my partner to read and edit, and then finally submit. Go look at it, go into word press and re-edit. lol.

The process is endless, but its worth it. At the end of the day, even if It doesn't get indexed at this point, experience created that, with zero experience. Wealthy affiliate has helped me understand the buying cycle and sales funnel that everyone is talking about.

I Majored in Marketing, I hold an M.B.A. and although this is by far not a replacement for that knowledge it is definitely a necessary asset. This really does help break down the consumer buying cycle in internet terms. Placing people through a sales funnel.

Traditional advertising is usually broken down into campaigns, you run a print ad, do a radio ad in certain geographical area's, set up a small website, throw a couple of billboards up, all centered around one campaign, that lasts for a few years, or until it is not profitable anymore.

This shows you the million plus entry points, and how keywords can tell you what cycle the consumer is in, and what type of content to create, I can't wait for that.

Future Plans

I am going to keep building, I first thought I would do it twice just so I understood what I was doing, so I created two blogs. Now I am only focusing on one blog, as it is a lot of work. I work full time, and I want to replace that income with my own business.

I want to get pawlogic off the ground. My goals for the next three months are to learn, and understand traffic, the consumer buying cycle, and the affiliate versus, carrying you own inventory, ad sense or no ad sense, and other money related concerns.

I want to master these elements, and really dive in. I would like to join in for the weekly live training, but I don't think that I am ready, I think that I would get side tracked, and really can't stress the importance of understanding the core concepts before proceeding onto more advanced material.

In Six months, I want rankings, and some data to run some analysis on, some real data. From consumer trends, to who my target customer wound up being, utilizing social media, and google analytics, I can further narrow down and create content more tailored towards that particular consumer.

I would also like to have made a little money in six months, maybe a few thousand, or a hundred. I really don't want to measure my success by the money during the learning phase.

And Finally I hope to make some really good friends here. I have enjoyed my stay so far, and everyone seems really cool. Follow me, and I'll follow you back.
