I apologize for posting this question and then heading off to bed, but it’s 1:30am and I just wanna put this out there in the WA universe before I forget to ask. =)

Don't be to quick to join any affiliate network, in particular Amazon. When they qualify a site to become an associate they are looking at the layout of the website and the amount of good content it has. Write at least ten blogs before you apply, make sure you ask fellow members for comments on each of them ( the more the better) , and check with others on the website comment thread to see how good your site looks. Hi Mary,
You've only finished Level 1 of 5 - so you've only learned 20%. Level 2 is very important and what drives traffic to your website. You just have to keep going to do all 50 Lessons to understand how this all works.
Hope this helps,
Grace
Thanks, I just don’t know how to tell any potential referrals that may not be able to afford to purchase the premium membership how they can make affiliate sales with the free one.
It's unlikely someone who is a Starter member can make affiliate sales because they won't have the knowledge to build their free site out the way it should that will generate the traffic it needs to make sales. Starters only get the first level, so they will not understand how to build their site out properly if they don't upgrade to learn the rest of the training.

Greetings WA friends, I just made my first website ever last night and am starting to learn the back end of it right now with the training. I now see a pop up - and the theme i
Great answers from Grace and Scott below. Here is a tutorial I did you might like. You Can Never Have Enough Plug-Ins Mark
Hmm, not sure what theme you're using that's suggesting all those plugins.
Be careful with plugins, you don't want too many and you only want to install ones you NEED to use because a lot of them can slow down your site and make your site super heavy which is not good.
I wouldn't install any of those plugins for now Mary, you don't need them now and especially because you don't know what they do. Unless you know what a plugin does or suggested in the training, don't install any.
These are WP plugins and will not be installed on your computer but rather on your site. That said, downloading them depends on the features you plan to use and what the theme actually requires.
You don't need the anti-spam as WA has that built in. I don't know what Beam me up Scotty is. I love Elementor but that might be a bit advanced for you if you're just getting started. And so on...
Thank you so much @merlynmac ... so it's okay if I don't install all the items that various themes recommend? (I'm building more than one and I'd rather keep my work areas clean and only do the updates Wordpress recommends)
