Concussions. Only one way from here and that is up!

I was smashed by an ignorant and careless woman back at the end of august while riding my electric bike. Simple to say that I am still rattled and struggle to look at my screen. Normally I write long posts but the light from the screeen is hard to work with.

I am working on creating content but the hazy cloud of dizziness and waves of depression come over me, but they always pass like a cloud in the sky.

I posting simply to tell the WA world that I am down for now, my rank has raised but I do not place value on such numbers. I am working on creating content but the hazy cloud of dizziness and waves of depression come over me, but they always pass like a cloud in the sky.

The numbers that matter are the times you get back up, because if you just don't do that, you are already dead are you not?

I will never quit, because quitting is for losers and wasted human potential only.

Hi, Rowan! Hang in there. So hate that you're having to go through this. I'm also in post concussion recovery. I always will be. I don't share that to further depress you but to let you know that it's ok. Take your time to recover. It gets better. I have had 7 recorded concussions. Ice skating, roller skating, barrel racing, snow skiing, playing soft ball, hit by steel chairs on the head, and a stanchion that also caused an occipital blow-out fracture.

I have had multiple issues from migraines to short term memory loss. Learning things has become very difficult and I was nearly complete with a Ph.D. with the last 2 concussions. They took me out of the game entirely.

Everybody's path is different and everybody's situation is different. Just wanted to let you know that you're not alone and I am here at the other end of the private messages if you ever want to rant, share or just talk.

The beautiful thing about WA is that there is so much encouragement, and multiple platforms and forms of presentation that it makes it easier for those of us who do have learning issues to get it. We may not get it super fast, but we can get it. You'll get there to! Meanwhile, we're all here to cheer you on!

Hugs from San Antonio!
Christine

Praying and hoping that you recovery quickly Rowan. Take care of your self.

Thank you Ray

Hope you keep up fighting this dizziness and depression. I have a friend who is legally blind and he has to invert the screen on his phone to help him read things. Would something like that help you? You might investigate what services are available to you since your vision is affected.
Anyway, good for you for carrying on. I have to fight getting out of bed due to pain and other health issues. But the alternative of staying in bed is not for me.
Barb

Staying still makes anyone stiff and not nice to be around. Not going to happen to me! Thank you for your supportive words :)
