Don't Give Up!
Last week was my worst time at WA. I thought my post was not in the place it should be, so I decided to go in and change some things. When I did this every thing was so out of sorts that I wanted to delete my website.
I would wake and could not go back to sleep thinking how I could fix this mess I had created. I was so discussed, I tried everything that I thought would make it right again. The more things I did, the more it just wasn't wright. My menus were not where I needed them to be, I had two about me pages, one saying it was my Front Page, I had a static page, which I don't know what that meant. I then activated a new theme and was having the same problems. The night that we were have hard time getting into our websites, I just stopped everything and logged out.
I was off for two days, today I logged in and went back to may first theme and made some changes, don't really know what I did, but when I refreshed everything, website was back in place.
So I write this post to say, if you get all frustrated and nothing seem to be working, take a break. I know we want this to go smooth all the time, but it does not always work that way.
Be patient with yourself and if you are a newbie, you have to follow "Get Started Here" lessons. Like me I don't like to read, especially on the PC, but you have to if you want this to work for you.
Remember Rome was not built in a day, same things holds true for your website.
Happy Sailing!

Judy,
Very great advice,
This holds true for everything.
Giving up is never the way to go!
Very good advice. I would wake and could not go back to sleep thinking how I could fix this mess I had created. I hate to see anybody with a sleep problem, but it shows that you care. I would be more concerned right now if i weren't losing sleep.
A good inspiration there.I used to get burn outs in my first days whenever i found some thing is not working right. Now i am happy i have learnt some coping mechanisms. You are right, take a break, relax and when you come back things will be alright.
Judy, thanks so much for sharing that story! We all hit road blocks now and again in any situation.
Walking away was a smart move!! Best to you, Elena
