Is Google reluctant to rank a .net? I’ve been making regular post and am not able to get it ranked. I have a .com that has nothing on it yet and it’s ranked in goog

dot come is always the first choice, then it is org I think net will be fine

Hi James, you might find this link interesting in the light of your question here.... Hope you find it informative.
Mark

Hi - in my experience, no - it has no issue - I have a few .nets ranking.

Google will rank content above all else - so a few questions:

1) the .com site, does it really have nothing on it? What is it ranking for - ie. what comes up in the search engine results, and what is your search term?

2) is the .net site in a popular niche? If so, it may just be that your content isn't ranked quite as high as your competitors yet.

3) how old is the site? Google has the 6 month sandbox - where it's said they won't rank any site younger than that.

Cheers, Mark

Thanks Mark. The site is only been up for four mts, I'm sure that's the issue. And no, there's nothing on the .com, it still has the sample pages. You can check my .net at petsuluv.net if you would like. Have a wonderful and productive day.

I don't think it would affect rank.
Ed

the TLD has no effect on ranking (TLD = Top Level Domain, eg. com net org)

I'm having trouble pinning WA content to pintrest. I keep getting this message. "Sorry! We blocked this link because it may lead to spam."
Any Ideas.

Grandma1945 has good advice on the Pinterest video. All the best to you.
Marilyn

All social media does not like/allow affiliate links!

Cheers!

It is probably because you have an affiliate link there, I have pinned things from my site with no problems

I tried Pinterest too with no success. I will see if I can make it work too. James, let us know how this works for you.

Ok I went back to Pinterest and now I see the spam nite. It did not appear when I first placed the link. What you must do us go back and edit to redirect to your blog post itself and not directly to WA

There was a recent Pinterest training video on how to connect WA links to Pinterest and it worked fine. First you pin the pic to Pinterest and then go back and edit it adding your affiliate link in place of your website link. Works just fine. Perhaps a little research to find that video on WA would help.

Yes that is where I learned how to pin...and it worked easily...for a while. J

Sharing affiliate links on social media is often not allowed,You can use google url shortner, or make a pretty link on your website
Works fine:)

my pretty link is:
http://workathomefuture.com/campaign

You can link to your WA review on your own website. Most social media does not allow direct linking to affiliate sites.

I knew why I hated social media! Very overused also.

I just gave this information to someone else via PM, but basically, from what I can tell, they don't like you linking directly to WA. If you have your own site (which isn't listed on your profile page), you can link to that using a slash after the .com to indicate it is a WA article you're linking to. I've been over and over Pinterest this morning, and the only difference I see between the users who's links are successful as opposed to those getting blocked is that. http://farmingundertheroof.com/wealthyaffiliates/socialmedia works. If you use WA before the .com, it appears they will block it every time.

Ok, got it. Thank you so much for your help. Have a wonderful day.

I found myself on page one position eight in a google search. Yeah. It's my google+ page. the bad news is the link on my google+ page goes to a 404 error. you can click home on

I have had the same experience. Thot it was a glitch on google.
I will check mine again later.
Marilyn

Jonny-come-lately Here. Not sure if this may address your issue.

It looks like others have helped you. Not sure I know the answer.

What you need to do is a 301 redirect.I have only done that with a plugin.

If you right click the link to the WA Review on your Google+ page and open 'Inspect in Firebug' you will see that the link is a 'no follow' link. I don't know if this is the cause of the issue but I suspect it could be.

What's your google + url?

Not sure what the question is. Is it should you fix the link, or how do you fix the link? If is it should you fix, then for sure yes.

When I click on manage my sites, there are no sites in the manager. I accidentally add a WA page and now cant delete it. Is there a reason my sites are not showing up in the ma

When you click on the blue button 'Manage My Sites' on your profile page (bottom right) you should see the attached image (with your sites listed not mine). Click the red X next to the site you want to delete.

Marion I was looking for how to add a site to my profile and can't find it anymore. I know this is an old reply of yours but are you able to guide me!

Right down the very bottom of the column on the right-hand side of your profile page you'll see "Follow Me On". You may have to make your browser full screen to find it. You can have up to 7 links.

Definitely support and do it early since it is Friday. Sorry James. Good Luck.

If you can not find your site I would definitely but a ticket in for support. KatieMac has answered the question about the WA page.
Good luck!
Sheila

Thank you, will give that a shot.

I don't know why your site is not showing in the manager, but as for adding a WA page, did you go into edit mode and try to trash it?

No edit mode, only save or close.

if you cannot see your sites, I would put a ticket in with the support team.

When you go to your dashboard, do you see the delete option next to your sitehealth tab?

I don't want to delete my site, I'm trying to remove one from my profile page.

Hello,

Can you try clicking this link: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites

And what do you see?

Grtz,
Bert

Wrong manager, my problem is with adding and deleting sites from my profile page.

Okay.... And already some feedback from support?
