Are you working for yourself?

Topic here is putting in the time needed to get a return.

Starting or growing your business, full time or on the side, doesn't matter. How much time are you really putting into it. Are you serious about it?

These are the questions that will require and answer. That answer will reflect your willingness to make it a success.

Your business needs you dedicating enough time and attention to it?

One way to look at it is... it’s a job… your business as a job.

You are getting paid for the work you do then and there. Would expect to get paid for something that you didn’t do?

No. Not really.

So if you want your job/business to pay you... You need to do the work. If that means you getting your hands dirty… so just do it. Work and get paid. Then put in the time.

A side business is not any different.

How much and how fast you get paid (return on your investment of time and effort) will depend on you making yourself to do it.

SO…..

Fresh start!!!

What are your hours for this new job….?

It is a new job! You want to make a good impression.

You want to get paid!?

You want to succeed and get promoted!?!

Set your schedule.

Is it part-time…?

What many hours per week are you working?

Did you put it in your calendar?

Are you going to show up for work?

Are you going to be able to focus on your job during that “work hours”?

You are not going to get paid if you are working. Be honest with yourself.

The point here and a good strategy is to block off time in your week(s) to work this job… make sure you focus on that. You will get paid.

Just a parental argument I had in my head…. If I want success… I need to put in the time. A schedule for me was what I used to hold myself accountable for the time spent/allocated.

Edit: what was up with the missing spaces...? fixed I hope.

Interesting post, Jesse! Thanks for sharing!

Jeff

Everybody has different objectives, it's a case of knowing what you want and working towards it without feeling that you need to compete with anyone else.

For real Jesse you got to clock in, roll up your sleeves, identify the tasks, set a plan and get your arse in gear and get it done.
