Do you use Git version control to track changes in WP ?
Hi everyone,
I need to start tracking changes I make on my WP blogs.
For tracking changes in Python code, I usually use the Git version control tool.
Does any of your use this tool to track changes you make on your WP blog? Does it work OK?
Can you recommend any other tool for tracking changes on the WP blog? How do you handle & store different versions of your WP blog?
Thank you for sharing your experiences and opinions,
Have an amazing week,
Vesna

Word Press does track prior versions. You will notice them below your post/page. What WP tracks is sufficient for us.
You may find WP tracking is sufficient without other tools.
thank you for your reply. But I was asking more about the WP blog - I have been reading several posts now where people gave advice: make a backup of your whole site, before you install a new plugin. You never know, what will happen.
Wordpress is its own content management system and tracks its own changes.
Plugins, themes, images and content can be added directly within Wordpress.
If looks like the process of using Github and pushing it to Wordpress is shown in wppusher..
I have been a programmer and project manager and do not personally see a need to use Github.
thank you for sharing your experience and skills with me. I will look into BackupWordPress :)
