Wealthy Affiliate and Amazon

Being a member of Wealthy Affiliate has a lot of advantages. The most important to me has been all the training and tools provided to help you build your own business on line and create niche websites to highlight your area of interest. There is no better way to do it because you have all the options and advice and support you will need.

My first website was designed last summer to take advantage of holiday shopping. I created Perfect Gifts for Any Occasion to provide on line shopping advice and suggestions to people who do not always want to go to the malls and want to shop from the convenience of their homes. I had this ready in plenty of time and joined Amazon as an affiliate to use my affiliate account to help earn some income.

That did not work out so well, because they -Amazon - suspended my account after my daughter made a purchase using my affiliate account. To me a sale is a sale and who they do they think they are to tell me who I can market to. The stupid thing about their decision was that she has a lot of friends and colleagues who were ready to support me and buy from Amazon using my affiliate link, but since they did not want my business, they lost a lot of sales and I did not reap the rewards of having an affiliate account with them. I tried to talk to them, but they are too big and too important for one little customer like me, so we parted ways.

I was very angry and disappointed. Well now, I am using them again, but for a different purpose. I have listed some books I have written on Amazon Kindle Publishing. I am hoping people will want to buy and read them. I am trying anything I can to earn money.

Here is some information about my books if you are interested. They are all PG rated. There is no offensive language or sexual references to worry about. If my kids and grandkids read these stories, I would not be embarrassed.

I write under the name of Marie Soleil. Here are my current offerings:

Becoming Marie - This novel is a love story and drama about a young woman's dreams for her future and how this impacts her throughout her lifetime. It begins in San Francisco in 1961 and continues to the 21st century.

Finding My Life - This is a short story about a young girl who is aging out of the foster care system and the challenges she faces.

The Tales of Vincent - This is a story about an odd man who goes around telling cautionary tales about strange things that happen. Most of these are unsettling and a little scary and there is violence but it is not extremely descriptive.
