How to Engage with Your Customers

Engaging with customers means they feel a bond with you,

they feel that you are there to help them solve a problem.

You need to know how to engage with your customers well.

What Really happens.

Sometimes to explain what SHOULD happen, it is helpful to look at what often happens.

  1. We decide on a niche.

  2. We build a website using a related domain name.

  3. We write content relevant that niche.

  4. We put links / banners etc. onto the pages hoping for clocks.

  5. We wonder why our traffic is not too high or conversions are low.

Is there anything wrong in what we have done?

What Should Happen.

I know there have been many posts about this so I will keep it short: I feel that I need reminding of this from time to time, so I guess some of you might as well.

  1. Forget about making money.

  2. Within our niche area, find out what problems people have.

  3. Check with keyword searches about how many people are searching for these answers.

  4. Target the “low –hanging fruit.

  5. Write content that solves the problem using the keywords you have identified.

  6. Get some “comments” through W.A.

  7. Get site feedback.

  8. Look after your customers.

How to Engage with Your Readers.

This means your customers must feel you care about them, that you really want to help them.

  1. Write concisely and to the point.

  2. Write relevant material

  3. If you make a statement, justify it.

  4. Be polite and respectful.

  5. Do not put down anyone else.

  6. Always offer to help more, go the extra mile.

There are so many hard sellers on the net with clever psychological sales techniques. I believe people can see through most of them and are generally fed up with them.

It is not necessary to push your customers into sales.

Instead, take them by the hand and lead them to the solution of their problems.

They will do the rest for you.

Even if they do not buy now they will recommend you to a friend. No advertising can buy that.
