Case Study: Do NOT Rely on Google Traffic Solely! Do This Instead.

Google was once the KING of organic traffic and sending our websites tons of it when we followed the main principals of good SEO and great content creation. However that changed in late 2023 when it released it's "helpful content update" which trampled websites like mine that were literally getting up to 200,000 visitors a month and earning me a full time income.

Even before this occurred, I was warned by certain people that a storm was coming and that I should start to diversify the traffic before the you know what hits the fan. I didn't want to believe them as I was riding high at the time, but it happened and I was no longer riding high post update. It then took me a long time to rebuild my traffic by diversifying how I distribute and share it and today I am finally seeing great results coming in.

Although still not up to the level I was at with Google during the glory days, it doesn't change that today when I make new content, I no longer rely solely on it. I now distribute that content on multiple places and as the video above shows, it's growing. My goal personally is to get to a point where every single major platform I get traffic from becomes it's own Google level traffic, that way if one of them fails, I still have more than one other to rely on.

The great news is that you don't really need to do things that differently than you are now if you're just publishing new content on your site. Yes some platforms require more work than others, but believe me the rewards are WORTH it.
