The Musical Saw Man
When I read the advertisement for Wealthy Affiliate for the first time, my immediate response was “another Scam !” However, I did have the curiosity to read further and saw something about FREE. I am partial to FREE. As a matter fact I am not interested in anything on the internet unless its free. So I kept reading and finally I said to myself, “what can I lose ? It’s FREE.” So I pressed the button and became a member of Wealthy Affiliate.
I immediately started to take advantage of the Free training offered. I was excited. I wondered how anyone could afford to put free training on the internet, as well as a system that allowed others to communicate and advise and help with questions. I knew subconsciously that there had to be “pay back” somewhere. But I was determined to enjoy the free training that was being offered. When the time came for pay back I would deal with it.
Of course the pay back day did come ! At the end of the 10th lesson, there was an offer. By that time I had got to know quite a bit about Wealthy Affiliate. I had heard from Premium members and most important I had heard from Kyle and Carson the owners and active trainers in the organization. I learned that this was a community of people who exchanged information and cared about each other. I had learned some important things about websites and Google and some important things about on-line business. I learned that experience and knowledge were paramount and Wealthy Affiliate promised a lot of that through experienced members, trainers and experts. I accepted the offer and became a Premium Member.
I have created a website http://amazingmusicalsaws.com about one of my passions which is learning to make music with a saw. Years ago as a young boy I heard and saw it played and was smitten. Now in my retirement years I am still at it, and still trying to perfect that beautiful sound. If I am lucky I will persuade a few to try it.
My goals were very conservative. I saw some new members setting goals of $5,000 -10,000 per month, but I settled for $100/ mnth during the first 6 months, and then $500/mnth the first year. I felt those number were more realistic. I had been busy promoting books I had written, and if I had those numbers for my books I would have been ecstatic. They were much lower.
My plan is to give Wealthy Affiliate my very best shot, and see what happens.
