Have you ever heard the phrase "Action Speaks Louder Than Words?"

Who said it? What does it mean?

What if I told you WORDS speak louder than ACTIONS? Would you say I'm Crazy??? Well, I will be answering these questions and lot more. Leave a comment if you agree or disagree with me.

Where Did It Come From?

The first words were first spoken by a holy man and priest from Lisbon, Portugal in the early 1200 by the name Saint Anthony of Padua. He was well known for 5 miracles and is celebrated on June 13 as the saint of lost things.

He said, "Actions speak louder than words; let your words teach and your actions speak."

ACTIONS Speak Louder Than Words

The meaning of this motto is your actions, your activity, motion, and energy weighs more heavily than mere words. It shows your how consistence you are at doing what you say. To say you are going to do something, then not follow through, says something about your character, your individuality, and your self-worth.

It has then been repeated by others throughout history. Celebrities and everyday people, teachers, family, and even you.

You can look on the internet, Youtube, Tiktok, or any social media platform there are over 5 billions of people or more who talk about Actions speaking louder than words. You can google it or type it in; people write songs and poems, give talks or lectures on it.

But what does it mean to me? To You?

Does it mean I can't say I'm going to do something, then decide to change my mind and do something else more meaningful with my time? Do I have to go back and apologize to everyone I ever spoke to because I decide to become a Entrepeneur? Or an online businessperson?

Who gets to dictate that I am not who I say I am? Just because I said it once or twice in my life doesn't mean I'm always going to be that way, right?

Pay attention to what people do and how they treat others.

But what if I told you...

WORDS speaking louder than Actions!

Think about it!

We are in all live a generation where we need to be mindful of what we say and how our actions affect others. According to Jeff Perera at TEDx RydersonU from TEDx Talks, he spoke to a bunch of teenage boys about how your words speak louder than actions.

He spoke about how men were told "don't cry," "just walk away" or "take it like a man" or "don't be a girl". And maybe women were told "don't be so sensitive" or "lighten up, it was a joke".

Words are a powerful tool. Words give life to an action. It gives it a meaning and a direction. Actions can have an infinite meaning without explanation to why it was acted out.

In our everyday lives we use words to console or brighten someone's day.

Telling someone sorry for bumping them while standing in line to get your coffee. Or saying something nice or even a thank you to the barista for making that cup of coffee. Don't you think she'd remember you more. instead of you just picking up your coffee off the counter and saying nothing.

Affirmations are words written as a statement or declaration to promote belief, an attitude, or mindset to someone. A letter in the mail can either crush or bring joy to a person. The words in a book, tablet, or computer screen can bring creativity, learning, knowledge, and financial freedom.

This made me think more about what I do in this business. The words we type on our computers and the content we create are words we send out to the world. We want to be able to reach the reader and engage them in our content.

The more content we write, the more action we put into it. And eventually it grows and grows into something we can be proud of. Something WA has developed for us over the years.

Actions can speak louder than words, but without words there would be no action.

And if I spoke to your heart by the mere words I say now. Then I think I did my job.

I hope you enjoyed this. And I'll see you soon!

Viki,

I absolutely resonate with your take on "Actions Speak Louder Than Words" and your perspective on the power of words themselves. It's true that actions demonstrate our commitment and character, but words carry profound meaning and can shape our interactions with others.

Indeed, as online entrepreneurs, the content we create and the words we put out into the world play a vital role in engaging our audience and building something meaningful. I appreciate your thoughtful approach to this topic and how it relates to your journey in this business.

Keep up the great work, and I look forward to seeing more of your impactful content!

Best wishes,

Israel

Thank you, Israel, for taking the time to read my post. I'm glad you enjoyed it!!

Such an interesting post, Viki. Yes, we do have to be mindful only because people can be very sensitive and will not take "no" for an answer - and also trying to avoid the fear of being "shut down completely." Just my two cents.

Thank you for reading it. It really means a lot to me.

An intriguing post, Viki!

If I say one thing, then change my mind and do another, I won't apologize for it. Life gets in the way a lot of times, and that can derail our plans from time to time!

Jeff

Understood. I value your words greatly.

You're very welcome, Viki, and thank you!

Jeff
