Value of Dandelion

We sometimes don't know , or don't appreciate the value of things we have an access to in our life. I won't talk about big things, such as education, medicine, water, air, rivers, forests, etc.

My post is about dandelions. What is a dandelion?

A weed people mercilessly fight with in their gardens?

Or is it a miracle of God , a piece of sun on our planet?

I don't know what inspired me again, but somehow dandelions spoke to me...

Dandelions are beautiful.

When they are yellow...

When they are white...

They make us think how quickly time flies. Life cycle never stops with dandelions...yesterday yellow, today white, in some time new generations of dandelions appear. Gardeners know...

They inspire gardeners to create such extravagant compositions.

They are used to make a wish.

Do they fly to the clouds?

or to the stars?

or to the sun?

or to other planets?

A big WHY?

Why? Because you didn't wish hard enough...

I think you remember a wonderful "Dandelion Wine " by Ray Bradberry, a beautiful account of how much life can one pack into three months of summer in case they have the right sport shoes and dandelions.

The book is a symbol for capturing memories, bottling up some beautiful moments of life.. .

The grandfather asked his grandchildren to gather dandelions to make dandelion wine. Douglas, the main character of the book, suddenly struck by a new awareness of being alive, finds special meaning in gathering these symbols of summer. In the winter grandma would go to the cellar for a taste of summer and give a bit of wine to those needing.
