When starting a new business, it is normal to experience stumbling blocks along the way. Sometimes, these blocks are so tough that it seems like you will never move forward in achieving your dream.

Inside your head, your inner critic rears his its ugly head spewing all the reasons why you will never be a success. All you want to do is climb in bed and pull the covers over your head. Why even try?

You are not alone. Many people struggle with these vicious stumbling blocks that get in the way of being successful. Take heart that there is a light at the end of the tunnel (and no, it’s not a train).

It takes countless hours of hard work to achieve success. This is something we have a hard time with because we live in a world of instant gratification. Many things are right there at our fingertips and we have lost the ability for patience with long term goals.

If you feel like giving up, renew your determination to not let anything stand in your way. Trust that consistent actions over time will lead you down the road to success.

Think back to why you started out in the first place. Reconnect with that seed of passion. Nurture it back in full bloom again. Make the decision that failure is not an option. Take actions every single day that get you once step closer to your dream.

Believe in yourself. You need know what impact your actions will have on others. Maybe you will inspire hope and rescue someone else from the pits of despair. Maybe you will spark an idea in them for a dream that would have never thought of otherwise.

Don't let the inner critic paralyze you. It doesn't truly know the future. Only you can determine that by your actions each and every day. Now get back to work.
