I am consciousness, I am shiva, I am shiva!
Have you ever wondered why they said, "Life is a dream!" Is there any truth to it?
Well we are fully aware of our waking, dreaming and deep sleep states. However, we think our waking state is a reality as opposed to the dreaming state. But really the waking state is just a long dream compared to the dreaming state we experience in our sleep. Someone asked me,"how can you say the waking state is a long dream when in reality I experience it all the time and the pain I feel is so real."
I said "You experience pain in your dream also but when you wake up the pain is gone and you realize it was only a dream. However, in the waking state also what we experience is not permanent, it is temporary. When we feel pain it is real but when it is no longer there we forget even what the pain was like when we had."
The true waking state is when you realize that you are not this body, mind and intellect. There is something in you 'a consciousness' that is untouched like the sky that is eternal. And that is your true essence of your being. This is what our rishis, sages have told us after experiencing it themselves. And that is when they said, "Chidananda rupa, Shivoham, Shivoham" - I AM CONSCIOUSNESS IN THE FORM OF BLISS! I AM SHIVA! I AM SHIVA!
