I am not sure that you are ranking with Google+. This you can check only if you do incognito search in your browser.
If your site is relatively new, Google may not trust it a lot yet. But Google does trust itself, so it ranks the Google + pages very well and very quickly. That is one of the reasons that posting on Google+ is so encouraged.
Yes my site is relatively new its only about 1 month old and some of the articles it ranks for are not even that good I attached a picture and its like that for all the articles I put on Google+
jvranjes is also right in that if you aren't in incognito mode, Google will show you your posts near the top because it knows that is what you are interested in.
