Bonjour Wealthy Affiliate builders. :) How is it going? I am doing fantastic!

What would you do if you were an extremely wealthy person and were getting lots of emails and letters from people who were asking you for help financially to provide their loved ones with serious and urgent medical care? This medical care is the difference for these people and families between life and death, or good health and serious disability.

The dilemma for me would be that I really do like to help people and reach out with a helping hand. I would not know for sure whether the people writing those letters really needed the financial help. But what if they did? Here in Canada, which I am so grateful for, no one would be turned away for an operation. So, there are lots of resources in place to provide for people in need. We have free health care.
I think about living in other countries. What about being a caring person in a country without free health care? I suppose that is why many wealthy people do create charities and organizations that provide aid. And there are many good wealthy people, I believe. People who give back in a huge way to society and those less fortunate. Bill Gates and Warren Buffett come to mind.
But how do you think even the best of wealthy people would react to receiving a tonne of mail asking for money whether for the worst of intentions or the best of them? How could they in fact know which was which?
They could respond with resource details for getting the help they are looking for - charities and organizations that they set up to aid people that way.

Ignore them. Way too many scams out there. Especially on the internet.

Let's hope I am never extremely wealthy. Giving to the needy is one thing, giving to the lazy and unmotivated, quite another! Great question, Tyler!
