Having A Coffee

Bonjour everyone. I am sitting here in Second Cup having a caramel carreto. For those of you who not know, Second Cup is Canada's biggest coffee shop. It is the Starbucks of Canada. We do have a lot of Starbucks here as well in Edmonton, Alberta. And Starbucks might even be more popular here then Second Cup. :) haha But none the less, Second Cup is Canadian.

So, how is everyone doing today? It is another warm day today considering the date is December 29th. I would say it is beautiful, but this time of year it's not. It should be colder then this.

The coffee shop I am at right now is very close to my residence, within walking distance. About a 3 - 5 minute walk. I love going to coffee shops. I feel inspired here. You see others reading books, putting in work, in meetings, or just engaging in pure entertainment socializing. Some are gazing out the window thinking about whatever comes to mind by themself.

I often experience a sense of serenity in a coffee shop, a form of meditation. Even when I am here by myself, I enjoy the ambience, the peaceful nature of slowly sipping a cup of coffee appreciating the company of the other patrons around me, even if no dialogue is exchanged between us. I will admit that I do like eavesdropping a bit and listening to the conversations that fill the air. And when I have had enough of that and want to zone out, I dip my earphones into my ears and get lost in my playlist.

Whether here by myself or with others, I love the tranquility. My mind relaxes, it stretches, and it absorbs. This is one of the places I come to to load up. I come here to get things done, and prepare to get things done.
