First progress update and my biggest struggle.

I first joined WA in January, as free member, and was blown away by the content of the videos, and, of course, the welcoming community. The moment I joined, welcome and congratulations messages poured in. From that moment, I knew WA is the great place I want to join. I gobbled first ten lessons and was hungry for more.

Though it took me almost five month to finally join fully as Premium. I felt like i wouldn't have time, energy, etc... Because: life. And even now, after three weeks of going Premium, I am not happy how much time I put down to accomplish my goals. And having rather competitive and instant-gratification-hungry personality, it's somewhat annoying. Same reason: life. And you know what, life will always happen. I am finally coming to that realization, and it helps enormously with progress.

Beating yourself up for not doing as much as you 'should' do is not helping. Sacrificing a lot of your sleep, then feeling irritated and tired, and losing motivation is a no good-o. Yes, we all stay up later from time to time to finish what we are working on, and that's ok, if done occasionally. But halving your sleep time for weeks in a row will only impede the long term motivation.

I hope this post doesn't sound depressing, because it should not! I am just sharing one of my biggest struggles as newbie, that probably many new members may be facing. Finding that BALANCE. Between screwing up the life and focusing only on one task, and going with the flow of life and losing motivation, and beating yourself up for lack of progress.

What helps me is PLANNING, PLANNING, PLANNING. And not "i-have-35-hours-in-a-day" or "who-needs-sleep" kind of planning. Realistic planning. Around your current life. Too many changes at once will get overwhelming. The plan has to be sustainable for it to work.

So if any of you feel the same way, like you tried to jump into a fast train and now everything is just a big blur, well, i felt like that too. But now as I look back, I am actually happy with what I accomplished so far. Three weeks ago I knew close to nothing, and now I am a real owner of my own website, I know about SEO, traffic and affiliate links. It's easy to lose track and only see where you didn't reach yet, forgetting how far you've actually got.

So here is my one of my biggest struggles so far. Yet I feel like I finally got control of it, planning reasonably and looking back how much I actually accomplished helps. I hope it can help someone who is feeling the same way too. Soon I will be back with official one month update, and no more whining, I promise! Haha!

And at the end I want to say huge Thank You to WA community for being so helpful and welcoming! Thank you, guys! And have a great day!

I have found that planning is the key to moving things forward with this side hustle at WA. I have to schedule time where I know that I will sit down and do something productive that moves me closer to my goals. Otherwise, as you stated, life just seems to get in the way and other priorities trump what I am trying to do here at WA. Good luck!

Balance and planning are key points, you are completely correct there. It can be a little overwhelming, but step by step you will get there. Good luck pushing forward :)

Thank you for encouragement!
