Assimilate

Ok I'll bite as this is my first ever head first dash into a blog.

Will i mess up the future of my Wealthy Affiliate existence by writing what may be meaningless dribble on this page. As I am not sure yet what path I will take lets assume for the next few paragraphs it is one of my favorite endevors. Golf, (left handed) golf to be exact. I have not counted but the number of qualified people writing Blogs about golf must be enormuos. The left hand golfer singled out may reduce the numbers but those with serious things to say are many also.

With the above in mind may I dwell on one training thought if you are inclined to be from the left. Golf magazines are many and for the most part contain wonderful information. Wonderful that is if you are a visionary and able toquickly reverse all information to the "wrong side" of the ball. After years of reading ,lessons, videos and conversation, I have found most of the information I have been able to assimilate has become most like a mirror image and as the instructor writer or presentor says left it seems easy to think right. (IE) ball position just outside the left heel means just outside the right heel. It is all the same when you train your brain to make an immediate reversal of the information. I enjoy being left handed other than the times I need to use a butter knief, punch bowl ladle or find all of the dog legs are dog leg right. That however is another blog.

How long is a blog expected to be? Are concrete facts needed? When writing must one follow any Blogging Rules? Well my new found friends and helpers if you are able to enlighten me on any of these questions my next attempt may have an improved ring to it.

all for now txeagle38

PS: I'm afraid if I push one more butten I may see what I have written vanish. With that in mind ...What are Tags?

Welcome to WA. I am just getting started as well. I have been looking around at others' blogs as I am not quite sure what to put in one. Love yours. It fits my questions as well. Best wishes for your success!

As far as I know there's nothing more rewarding than doing the things you love. It's what enables you to stay positive and motivated when the going gets tough.

If you are passionate about golf (I can see that you are), go for it! Never mind about the competition. I'm sure you'll find your way to deal with it. Especially if you focus on left handed golfers. I am not into golf but I think that angle is very interesting.

Technically a blog post should not be less than 300 words. In general, the more the better, assuming the quality of the content is good.

Concrete facts are certainly needed in your niche. There are no blogging rules per se but you might want to consider these guidelines: http://www.problogger.net/archives/2011/11/16/6-laws-every-blogger-needs-to-obey-so-they-dont-get-sued/

As for tags:

Hope this helps.

Hi Chuck
Very general rules to blogging, Provide information, be reasonably polite. Take as long or as short as you need to, to get your point across. Try to make it interesting. Here at WA it can be on any topic such as your success or questions or insights.

Tags are really just a list of keywords that you want your blog post to be noted for. They help when members are searching for specific topics or areas of information.

Good Luck.
