Should you have an affiliate link early on in your content to help with conversion or will this be seen as overselling. A visitor may want to get right to the point and dig dee
Twiy the key is to focus on adding value for your readers. A link early in the content typically will not increase conversions if there is no value to the reader. I typically add a keyword link in the middle and to the end of an article or post.
Thanks skiergal, that's a good point about value to the reader. What good is a link if the reader does not feel it will help them in some way. Good advice.

You can try inserting <!--more--> in the Text tab of the editor window. If you're looking to show summaries of posts on a home page or blogroll then I'd suggest using Excerpts. In a post, click on Screen Options (top right) and tick the Excerpt box which will add an extra window under the editor where you can control the summary content. Rich.
Hey @Rich is there a way to make this same edit for a Page? I have a popular posts page I think I created as a category idk, not sure how I did it lol? But anyway when I categorize a post as popular it links to that Page but the articles show up in entirety and I'd rather it be an excerpt linking back to the full post. Does that make sense? Anyway I can ask the general community but I thought I'd check here first instead of duplicating a query. thanks so much!
