OK, I'll Be Brief.

Famous last words or what ? It's a bit like when someone starts a conversation with the words "If I'm honest with you" There's a fairly good chance that the next words out of their mouth might not be the truth. So, with that in mind, you might to take me saying 'I'll be brief' with rather a large pinch of salt.
Of course, I blame myself. Who else is there ? Although today, being brief is more out of necessity than any ability to deliver a short, profound monologue. All for good reason though. I
am sticking hard and fast to my resolutions. Remember those ? They are still vibrant, neon signs in my head and I will not wilt under their intense heat.
This morning was about doing all of those things that it is tempting to say, 'I'll leave it till later' There's no point as something will always come up in the meantime that just delays you even more. No time like the present. What's the time ? 11.10am. Let's see if we can't smash this one out of the park. I could do with some music, Chemical Brothers ? No, let's go with 'Ibiza Opening Party 2019' Right, sorted, let's get it on.
Posts like these are important to me, they serve as little mini-challenges and it's good to push yourself, once in a while, put your own back against the wall, so to speak. Where were we ? Ah yes, resolutions.
Golden rule, at least mine, you have to do them every day. Period. If you allow yourself to slack off, then you are sowing the seeds that will flourish into large 'I'll do it tomorrow houseplants'. You'll never get rid of them, a bit like 'Goose Grass' Is that the right name ? I think so, correct me if I'm wrong.
So, after catching up on some 'digital' stuff it was onto EBay items. My resolution was to list one item a day. As you might have seen from a previous post, there is no shortage of 'stuff'. For the most part I have done this, although some of the items have been for friends, which I don't mind, even if their stuff does seem to sell quicker than mine, so unfair.
I sold a laptop base the other day, it's probably been 'live' for over a year but I still found it with relative ease. It was in a box, under two other boxes, just to the right of where I'm sat now. Turns out this box has loads of things in that I had forgotten about. Sweet. So this morning I listed two broken 'Satnavs' and three dead laptop batteries. Why would you not throw away old, dead laptop batteries ? Well, you just never know when they might come in useful and, as it turned out, one of the 'satnavs' actually worked, so not broken at all. Sweeter.

The best sale came yesterday though. An old Jaguar part that had been listed for a total of 359
days. I had reduced the price but with the facility for a 'best offer'. An offer came in and rather than sucking my teeth and countering, I took it. Something is better than nothing right ? I would have to pay for posting and it was bulky but that's alright, just get it gone. Then the buyer messages me and says he happy to collect. Sweetest. Boy, were we on a role.
I also managed to fix a friend's, daughter's bracelet. Well, it's glued back in place but I'll need to solder a portion of the 'mend'. I've done it once already but the glue didn't hold, so out with the big guns.
As far as day to day chores and sticking with the plan, it's all good. I've managed to transfer a few more post URLS's over to the spreadsheet, that's quite a process, monotonous but much-needed. It's all about being organised, I suppose.
Exercises done, seventeen days straight, no excuses (That's for you Steve.) Actually, check out his post Excuses, excuses, excuses. Well worth a read. I was late to the party reading it but I got there in the end, which is what matters. In fact, all of Steve's posts are worth a read, in my humble opinion. I love reading all of your posts, I have probably learned more in the last year here, than in most of my senior years at school. Hmm, school-days, now there's some post material, not for today though. Like I said in a reply to one of Heidi's posts, If I'm honest with you, I really was the model pupil.
Please tell me you picked up on that, I don't just throw this stuff together you know.
There's a mad amount of awesome posts and I know it's difficult to read them all. I tend to leave them in my inbox, knowing that I will get to them when I can. That was the case this morning and last night. Some had been sat there for a few days but I knew they would be worth reading and I was right. You'll always find the time.
Talking of time (nice segue) it's now 11.52am and I'd better try to add some images, I like to
make things pretty for you, if I can. I haven't even had chance to talk about the 'encyclopedia', remember that ? You must all be pulling your hair out wanting to know what I needed it for. I would love to oblige but we're at 824 words and that means I have crossed the threshold into 'unwanted word land' and that's never good. Tomorrow then, it's really not that exciting though, now I've built it up.
Look, I'm not being rude but I must go, time waits for no man, especially not this one. As for the challenge I set at the beginning. Score. A Thousand words and we're under the hour, nice job, couldn't have done it without you.
Fabulous Friday is upon us once more, where does the week go ? If the weekend starts here for you, then go and enjoy it to the fullest.
Twack Romero.
