I think I'm more into a "blog" mindset. I'm not sure what to do to make money. I don't mind it taking some time, but I don't know where to begin. I have a passion for helpin

I see you've already gotten excellent advice from Huffman. I too, had a hard time when I first came here on deciding on a niche, and whether to choose a niche of my own or the Bootcamp.

Ultimately, I chose starting my own niche site, at first... like Huffman did...well, it was pretty much the same experience as his.

I began doubting it, then started the Bootcamp, but since I had no experience in affiliate marketing, or anything related to it, I found it rather hard to write on there at that time. So, I put that on hold for the time being and kept plugging away at things on the niche one.

Anyways, the first site I started, the niche one is now making money each month...so, it's all up to you on what you'd truly like to do. Both courses are excellent, but I too think the Bootcamp one, which I'll hopefully be going back to soon will help get things going much more.

I agree with Huffman, that it takes time for the whole picture to come together and the more you learn, the clearer it becomes.

So, don't give up...I too, often felt overwhelmed and there were days that I wondered why bother. But, doing either of the trainings here and the tasks in each lesson does work to make money. And, once you're done with one of the Training programs, you can always start the next to gain more knowledge if you want.

Hope I haven't confused things more for you. I just wanted to share my experiences here in the years I've been here...yes, years, since I didn't really do much of anything for almost 2 of them...too many offline issues, which is another story.

Anyways, just keep at it and always ask questions if you're stuck on something. You'll get there one step at a time.

Best wishes :) ~Sherry

Lets just break this down, in ways I find it simplest.

If you create a website, you can add whatever content you want.

On your website, you need a Niche. A category that the whole website is about.

You do a little keyword research and target low hanging fruit like Kyle goes over in the lessons. You do this over and over.

Within the post, you can tell people whatever you want to tell them, it can be a personal story, you can include some kind of product that you can link to an affiliate site like Amazon. You just tell you story and if people enjoy your words they will listen and buy what you recommend.

The more content you put out and the longer you do it, the more posts will become popular, the worst thing you could do right now is quit. You don't mind waiting for the payout, so why would you quit? This is proven, lots of members are making money.

We all went through the training, I went through both courses, and we all had similar thoughts.. Maybe this isn't right for me...

I am not a quitter and I saw a real opportunity here. I love WA and I plan to never do anything different. This is my life and WA is helping me get it rolling.

I hope this helps change your mind about blogging and making money.

Thank you so much! This is exactly what I needed. I am also not a quitter, I just feel very overwhelmed and confused. Thanks for the "pep talk" and for breaking things down. I was on the right track and then I started second guessing myself. Guess I'll just go for it! You never find success if you don't try!

Thanks again for the response!

I got overwhelmed too many times to count, but it all pays off! :)

One more question (thanks for the help):

You said you did both trainings? Do you feel it would be better to go through the bootcamp and promote WA or would you start with my own website and promote other things through that? And if I DO start with the bootcamp and promoting WA, what type of website would I need to set up to promote it?

Sorry for the questions....

I'm here to help, I was in your same spot.

I started with a workout supplement website and went through the Certification course. I went through it kind of quick and I was also working at the time, so I was learning but not as much as I should have been. I got quite a bit of content on this site.

I then started to doubt my first website and heard the Bootcamp would be better if I wanted to make a lot of money, of course I went through that and learned SO MUCH MORE it was ridiculous. The more I started putting the two courses together (Some parts are the same others are not) I was realizing how much more there was to this whole thing, its one big picture that you get to take a step back from with each bit of learning. Eventually it starts to become pretty clear.

The thing with the Bootcamp site, is you will have a website you can send anyone to, anytime because anyone can benefit from Wealthy Affiliate. You simply tell them a bit about it and tell them your site, that will have your link to WA so you get Affiliate credit.

If you are going to have other sites that make you money, hosted here, you might as well tell others about it and get paid to do so. :)

After learning all that, I went through my first website again and fixed up a bunch of beginner mistakes.

Does this clear it up a bit? I hope so. :)

Yes, that is very helpful. I am in the exact same boat. I just recently restarted and am working my way through the bootcamp. I am just at the beginning and trying to decide what the website should be. They suggest paying for a domain, which doesn't seem to be too costly and I am not opposed to paying a little bit if it helps in the long run. The place I'm confused - does that site need to be an affiliate/marketing specific site? Should I just set up a site and then continue with the bootcamp course?

Thanks for your help (and patience :)

The main goal of the Bootcamp site is to attract visitors and tell them about WA, how you do it is all up to you, Kyles recommendations are to do reviews of known scams, but it is all up to you it is your website.

Buying a domain is nice, it makes it a little more authoritative, over time any site will rank. I have 4 domains all bought and hosted here at WA now.

I'm coming back after a little financial break. My question is: Do I combine the info from my websites and put it all together on one where I own the domain?

I have bee

Hey girl! What an inspirational story and journey yo have been on. Your plan sounds great to me! :) I would put it all on one site just because its all based on your life experiences and personal life.

You could also break it up into two sites and keep linking the sites together. For instance you can have your personal life site and a mental health site. Then for instance, if you're talking about your divorce you can share the story on your personal site and then link it to an article about, say depression as it relates to going through a divorce or the dramatic ups and downs you might go through on your mental health site.

Doing that helps with SEO too cuz as you build one site's credibility it helps the other's credibility also. Its up to you though :)

Hope this helps!
