Wondering?

I've only been part of WA for couple of weeks. I really like building and working on my site.

I'm learning so much. It takes a lot to build a quality web site that is relevant.

I started this to make money. I will continue to follow the training step by step. I will continue to learn.

I have some questions though. I assume that it is different for everyone. But about how long has it taken from the time you started until you first started to see any money from your site?

How long until Google began to recognize your site?

How long before you saw steady purchases go through your site?

These sites are just a few questions I wanted to throw out. It may be helpful to any new people just to here experiences from successful WA people.

I know it could be encouraging to know your not alone.

Just a few things that were on my mind.

Todd

I guess I should stop worrying about Google.
Hey it is fun building a nice website.

True it is fun to work on the website

Hello Todd,
I agree your questions are all very pertinent and important as well. I think a large part of beginning something new as in a career change or even adding a part-time job if you're retired and want something to keep you occupied. We all need to first realize, yes, we are all different, so we learn in different ways and at different rates. Our ultimate goal is "to make money." Yes, that will come. For some it will come more quickly than for others, but I honestly believe we are in the right place to LEARN the "right" things to do to become successful. If we aren't open to learning how to able to create and publish a good product, yes, we may see "some" money coming in through our website. But we probably won't see the ultimate numbers we are hoping for. I'm hoping this helps answer your questions in some way.

BTW-I'm new too...been here about a week.

Thanks

Hey Todd,

Neither of your questions have a definite answer. You have to remain consistent and follow the training.

Really think about the keywords you're targeting and create a schedule so that you're producing content weekly.

Google will notice when it notices. It could be a couple of months or it could be 6 months. There's no telling.

But what will happen is that you'll notice all of a sudden this wave hits and something(s) will all of a sudden takeoff.

Don't worry about the money, worry about being consistent and producing quality content.

There are many variables here. Just keep on keeping on and you'll be there in no time :)

I would also suggest that you utilize the siteFeedback tool so that you can see if you need to make some changes on your site that might help it.

Hope this helps,
Marlinda

Thanks, I will keep training and using everything I have learned.
I just think it if we are all working toward the same goal, it would be nice to see how others are doing.

There are many people who post their results in this community. You can search them or scroll through your dashboard to find the 'Top Earners' section (or something to that effect).

The key here is to NOT COMPARE YOUR RESULTS to theirs. Each website is different. Each niche is different. Learning is different. And even if you were the exact carbon copy in knowledge, effort, etc. there will always be two things that will make your business different:

1) Your audience
2) Google is random and doesn't always act the same even when you do the EXACT same thing/process

So look at others results as more of a confirmation but don't compare. This isn't a judgment either. I have to remind myself of the same thing too. Constantly.

Keep up the good work and even share your own progress. That really helps yourself see how much you've grown as a whole and not just financially.

Interestingly enough, I have found that when you focus less on financial goals they happen faster and even exceed the actual goal than when you obsess over it.

If you're interested, you can checkout my latest results on one of my sites here: Hope this helps :)

Thank you. This does help encourage.

Everything takes time and building trust and visitors is all part of this awesome journey
Success will follow I know it if we keep writing great content and building
All the best
Vicki

Thank you

hey. i've been at this 6 months and i am yet to make a dollar.

However, I'm not concerned by this as you get out what you put in, and if i'm honest with myself I haven't done enough on my site.

I was indexed by google very quickly and have had a few posts rank on page 2 of searches, i just need to keep moving with the training and not give up.

All the best to you.

I agree
