Hi,
what would be the max amount of words you would use in a domain name? I want to avoid a long name, but I've tried different variations but can't come up with the rig
Hi,
I had the same problem and tried a domain name suggestions tool. The one I found easy to use is http://www.domainsbot.com/
You just enter the words you'd like to have in your domain name and it gives you lots (over 100+) of suggestions for available domain names.
Once you get your results, on the left side of the screen, you can also select just the .com names (if that's what you want); and also any synonyms for any of the keywords you'd like to see in the domain names.

If you are running a business such as retail shop, plumber, etc... yes it is ideal for you to have something short if possible and easy to remember. However, if you are looking for a domain name for an online business such as affiliate marketing, it is all about getting that all important click, (SHORT WILL NOT MATTER). Your traffic will be primarily through search and click, I would not sweat it, just find a name that relates to your keyword or phrase and you will be fine.
Agree with Tony...... but, you want it as short as possible for memorability. Remove stop words like "And" "or" and don't use hyphens.
I don't believe that there is a set amount for max words. Does anyone else have a better answer?
Agree. Never heard of such a thing. But the easier it is to remember, as well as avoiding confusion to a similar name, is the way to go.
