Okay. So that was three words, not one.
You might ask "Why would you make such a statement?" "What happened, Tricia?" ...or something like that. Well! Today I had to make a difficult decision that will hopefully cost me less but likely will cost me at least a week of work (cost dependant on available work hours after demands of bored kids and husband who wants to get stuff done are deducted from functional work hours).
"What decision? Get to the point, Tricia!"
Okay!
So! While doing the training I had a bad and fatal case of "Keener". I was making my posts and thinking about what I could do to monetize my site and enjoying the whole thing immensely. Then it occured to me that I could do reviews around Amazon products.

Well, yes and no. Since I knew how to do basic site building and had no trouble figuring out how to monetize with Amazon, I went for it. It was so much fun! I was writing and linking and having a wonderful time despite not having a lot of time for the training and promotion because of end of school year stuff with my kids. Then I ran into a big snag when I got an email this month from Amazon saying I have 30 days left to make a sale or I fail my probationary period and have to start over.
All over.
As in I lose my affiliate ID and will have to redo all plugins and links on my site.
........uh oh.
So now I'm at the point of having to either make a sale in the next couple of weeks in order to save myself and still risk losing everything...or start over. I sweated and stressed and pondered and researched ideas and decided I'm starting over. Looking at the bright side, I'm only about 25% into level 3 so it's not the end of the world and with what I've learned it will go a lot faster and better this time.
One of the biggest lessons I learned though, is to tell the keener in me to take a big breath, have a nice drink on the patio and just relax for a bit then FOLLOW. THE. TRAINING.
It's all good. It will all get done in time. Just FOLLOW. THE. TRAINING.
Here I go again......
