What A Ride

So. This is my level 2 blog post documenting my progress. This is technically my second blog post. In the first I patted myself on the back for getting indexed on Google. That was actually tough for me to do even though I felt proud of myelf. I'm really not used to patting my own back. I cheer on other people then get back to whatever I need to do. I'm slowly learning that it is important to acknowledge your successes and cheer yourself on. So here it is....ready?....GO ME!

k. Done. *whew*

Ok...some of the things I learned:

  • When picking a niche while doing the training:

Go small...no, smaller...keep going...almost there..... I chose to do reviews of travel backpacks. I thought it was pretty good! The numbers on Jaaxy were good and there was lots of stuff out there to talk about. The more I learned while working on my site, the more I realized that this topic is much much bigger than I thought. Forget niche site, I have the beginnings of some sort of travel bag empire. Cool, but a little (ok, a lot) tougher to work with while learning.

  • Work schedule:

When I started I had this lovely fantasy of putting in my 3 or 4 hours a day while the kids were doing their thing and behaving nicely while getting their own snacks like the great entrepreneurial Moms say things should be. Aren't fantasies great? The reality is, you're more likely to see me running around like a crazy person trying to fit in 10 minutes here and there in between splitting them up and listening to "MOOOOOMMMM!!!!"

  • WA is a pretty awesome place:

When I first started, I looked long and hard for the scam...I've seen lots of scams and shady spots around the interwebs and actually had some fun in finding each site's scam. I haven't found anything at WA...I can honestly say I'm happily disappointed at the awesomeness around here. The training is fantastic, there's always someone around to help and on days when I really question what I'm doing, it doesn't take a lot of effort to find someone who's been there and gotten through it and can offer some encouragement.

  • I can do something really cool:

I made a website! I'm learning how to create my own business that will someday support me instead of me working to support someone else's business. How cool is that?

My plans and goals for the future? Keep doing what I'm doing. With the crazy life I have, it's not easy to make plans and goals. My end goal is to be self-sufficient and feel good knowing that I can create a business that can help people in some small way, care for my family, and do something I enjoy. As to how: keep doing what I'm doing. Learn, apply learning and repeat. Then keep repeating it until I get there.

Thanks for reading my ramblings and any tips on dealing with a pre-teen and a teen who take great delight in torturing each other while I'm trying to get work done, I'm all ears!

Hello Tricia, well done on getting this far and keeping your sanity. I am lucky in so much as I don't have any children living at home any more. Of course this means I don't have anyone else top blame for my delays.

Derek

Thank you! Haha. Have a pet? They can be terrible at keeping you from work too. ;)
