This is my first blog post and I'm using it to pat myself on the back. After 2 months, I finally got that sweet email letting me know that I got indexed on Google. Yay!!!
My life is crazy (really though, who's isn't?) and I spent a lot of time fighting with doubt and wondering why I'm doing this and thinking about what else I should be doing instead. Then I reminded myself that I want my life to change for the better and I want that 50th birthday trip to a lovely little Greek village and that the only way that is going to happen is if I tell those doubts to go away and then do something. Anything. Even if it's just one paragraph on a post, taking notes on a training article, or if I just can't do that, then put on some inspiring music and read someone else's blog post just like this one and accept the encouragement. Then pat myself on the back for not giving up.
I told my husband I got indexed on Google and he sat there with a blank look on his face like "yeah? okaaaaaay.....?" He didn't get it. It's okay...I'll just have my happy little party of one at my screen with some celebratory Easter candy. Celebrating your accomplishments is important. No one else knows what you had to do to make that accomplishment. Be proud of yourself...even for the little things. Pat yourself on the back. Have some of the candy that didn't fit into the kids' baskets (darn those tiny buckets!). Give yourself a nice loud "GO ME!" Anything. You deserve it!
