Monk Mode Loading.!
So I mentioned that I was planning on going "full monk-mode" last week and yesterday I put my plan into place. I've booked flights to Gdansk, Poland and organised myself a single room with wifi, a desk, a bed, and not much else.
I'm going to have a few days - no more than 3 or 4 - exploring the city when I arrive because, well, it would be a waste not to, right? But after that, I've got three weeks where I'm intending to do nothing but work on my business and my brand.
I need the wifi, but (apart from the daily whatsapp to my mum so she knows I have been kidnapped or murdered, obviously) I'm completely cutting myself off from the outside world in terms of messaging, email, social media and TV.
I'm looking forward to it and I think it's exactly what I need.
Or, rather, I hope it's exactly what I need.
I'm a terrible procrastinator and a seasoned pro when it comes to making myself feel like I've been productive by doing all of the things that are completely unnecessary for progress. Making social media images and finding new training and tweaking website themes, you know what it's like.
Basically, everything apart from actually writing.
But writing is what needs to be done, and I do believe this can work, however terrified I am of failure.
So I'm taking action in the only way I know how. By jumping on a plane and forcing a change.
Here's hoping it pays off...

I hope you have a great trip. Many, many years ago, I had to write a thesis and I did exactly the same thing.... rented a place and got away for a week. It worked.
Glad to hear it's not a completely unfounded plan! Thanks for the encouragement :)
