Newbie Central. Internet Marketer, Social Networker, And A Partridge In A Pair Tree!
Fresh beginnings in the IM world for me!
This is a world I have very little experience in and a lot of drive to learn about. But, this isn't my first rodeo in this! I first heard about working online back in 05' when Network Marketing was introduced to me.
I wanted to try and do something that I'd never done before and ran across an e-book about Network Marketing that got my attention. I was lazy at the time so I didn't make it very far much less the point where I would make any money! But I had known from that e-book that it was possible to make money online, no matter what anyone could tell me.
Now I'm in a different state of mind, a different state in the country all together, and have a family that depends on me!
What I find ironic is not only do they depend on me, but I depend on them for drive! The drive to give me that extra push to move forward in my life. That is what the big difference between now and back in 05' is!
So, anyway! I moved to a different part of the country with no money, no job, no car, and barely anyone that could help me get either of those to get me started! I had no house of my own and was living with the only friend that I had in the area and that was quickly wearing on both of our nerves. (6 kids under one roof will do that)
Looking for a job on Craigslist one day I found an ad for paid surveys. Looking into it further I found it to be a scam, but the best part is.......I was introduced to Wealthy Affiliate!
Now, I admit, I didn't bite right away. (Which I now regret) I looked around the internet for all the info I could find on making money online seeing scam after scam trying to give all this free stuff to get me sucked into their email list!
And it worked!
Heck, free stuff! Who doesn't like free?
Most of it was useless and some of it was good. But I couldn't afford to buy anything and take away from my children just to further what my girlfriend called a "get rich quick scheme" so I did it the hard way!
Reading!
Lots and lots of reading. Staying up day and night, from early morning till late at night, not spending ANY time with my family, thinking it was going to pay off in the end, you know!
Then I ran across WA again and decided to give it a try!
So, So happy I did! My problem with sales in general is the feeling of getting one over on someone. I don't like it! After all, I'm the one who has to sleep with myself at night. And with the weight of me ripping someone off for their hard earned money would just be too much for me.
Now I'm building my own Authority site that "I" control, the way I want to, and with the feeling of me being able to help instead of hurt. I really like that!
I'm so grateful to be a member of Wealthy Affiliate now and hope to be able to help as many people as possible while I'm here. I am still new to working online and not very good at socially interacting with people this way, I'm great in person, but you don't have to type your dialogue to someone if you're looking at them. So if I don't reply right away , it's because I have very little time and a lot on my plate. Please forgive me in advance.
With time, I will be able to conquer the world of internet marketing and be my own success story with the help of you guys and the tools I learn here at Wealthy Affiliate! So you are ALL important to me and my family's future.
