So many things to think about!

So I've been on the Wealthy Affiliate journey for about a week or so now. I think my journey has been a bit slower than expected because I'm also juggling my full time job, social life, etc - and because of that I kinda wish I got on this journey much earlier! Or when I was in between jobs. All that loss of income just from years of being lazy! Gahhh!!

But as they say, better late than never, so here I am. I don't know if my first website is ready to be rolled out at the moment - still have lots of content to put out and of course get all my revenue generating pieces on board - but I definately feel like I am getting there!

I think the toughest bit is juggling the rest of my life around trying to put as much effort in affiliate marketing as possible without compromising my quality and output in say my full time job or my social life. For those who have been there and done that, any tips you can share on how I can better optimize/streamline my efforts? I'd love to hear from you!

Yes, agreed. If our daily life there are so many things we need to manage. Either full time job or social activities. Nevertheless, I have learned to do my best and enjoy the moment of each activity. Treat the content creation at your website as fun and you will love to do it each day.

I just ran into your blog today and I was like wow, I could feel your words. You are moving along in the program just fine, I saw your profile. Time? Seems I never have enough since I joined WA. I jump around in lessons but hope to complete all of them at some point, I love this site. Inside of you there is a "drive" to tell you when to go, go, go! I don't know if my way works for you but let me share it with you anyways.

1. Outline of work to perform
2 Bulk work first- Lessons , Research, if necessary. most time consuming
3. Text out all your pages first; just get you words in there, no corrections necessary.
4. Then headings and images
5. Edit work

This goes on in my head at all moments. Weekly planner. Write down all known appointments ahead of time. Mark work hours, house chores, all that. Look at hours that are available and write down what you are going to work on for webpage. Does not matter if you make your goal for the day, make adjustments. Most of all, make it Fun! I work on my pages as much as possible, lots of research for me. On my breaks from my webpage, which are mandatory, I do house chores. Seems to work out for me. This is all just a brief overview, but I hope it helps you.

Hi John, thank you for dropping by! Sorry for the delay in response. Caught the flu, plus I've been up to my ears with full time work, which is paying the bills and everything else, including my access to this site =)

Thanks for the outline, it looks like a pretty solid plan and something that definately seems workable! I just feel like I can go a lot faster in getting stuff out there and seeing results if I didn't have all the other things going on in my life. But then those are important too, so I think like you said it's really about getting organized and making sure I meet my goals for the day. maybe it's time i start to streamline what i do in a day even, so i get more time in an efficient manner! haha!

It is all about balancing what's important to you. Identify and eliminate the activities that waste your time. But don't neglect your sleep or your health. These are important in living a busy life.

those are really good points, thank you! you are absolutely right about identifying and eliminating activities that waste time. ive found that as i grow older i have less tolerance for stuff that i dont really care for.

that sounds like common sense, but looking back im amazed at how much time i spent when i was younger on things or people that i didnt really care for but stuck around doing/hanging out with just to be 'cool' or accepted into the group. few years later no one gives a shit about how the rest are doing. that experience definately taught me a few things, so yes i do think you are spot on =)
