Who Started Mother's Day?
The origin of Mother’s Day as we know it took place in the early 1900s. A woman named Anna Jarvis started a campaign for an official holiday honoring mothers in 1905, the year her own mother died. The first larger-scale celebration of the holiday was in 1908, when Jarvis held a public memorial for her mother in her hometown of Grafton, West Virginia. Another year and once again, it's time to spoil Mom rotten. 😊 She has a peaceful walk with you to learn what has happened in your lives while away. A quiet talk while sipping tea or wine at home. So what are your plans today? Taking the whole family out to somewhere special, or a nice family gathering at home?
Please share with us what all you did (or are doing now) to celebrate Mother's Day. Some parents have past away, but the memories remain and we still celebrate with the rest of the family, from sons/daughters, to grand children, aunts and uncles. The list goes on and on.
This is the time to take lots of photos for the family album. Cherished memories to hold dear forever. Moms are so special.
I personally want to wish Everyone a Happy Mother's Day and pray you're healthy.
