We're going to touch upon the subject of Cutting Through the Website Building Swells. A lot of you just starting out and joining Wealthy Affiliate want to do just that, cut through everything. But then some of you get upset when you get to the end of Level one (27 Tasks) and find out you must upgrade to Premium level before you gain access to the rest of the training. Not only that, but you want immediate results. I use the above photo a lot to make a point. You have to go full steam to cut through those swells. Shutting down will only push you back, causing you to play "Hurry Up and Catch Up", wondering where you left off if you haven't been keeping records (Quartermastering). Can you commit to doing that? For every accomplishment, you will be awarded a new badge within your profile (for all to see). I want that to be your motivation to excel. The above pic is of the ship I was on, USS Spruance (DD-963), now decommissioned and sunk purposefully for the marine life to enjoy).
April 21, 2021 - I Was Just Told I Am Now Listed In Google!
As of this writing, a pop-up told me that my site just made the listings in the Google search engines. The above title indicates today's date that it happened. I'm now patting myself on the back for all my efforts. This past week I linked Google Analytics to my website address, and THAT helped Google find my posts more easily. You'll get to that step soon enough. For now I need you to concentrate on simply following each step, one by one, and not to skip ahead. By the end, you will have a fully operating website that is ready for publishing and to join affilaite programs out there (or whatever your niche or interest is).
My job is to keep your heads up and to pat you all on the back for great jobs done. Know that we (as a family here) will do just that for you IF you show to us you are serious about going through the lessons, one task at a time, and not to skip sections. Promise? I ask that you do the same for others that join up. Keep their spirits up. Help them along if you can. Give them helpful links along the way and get involved in the live chat area.
Get My Site Up and Running Now!
As you went through Level one, you wondered when the course was going to get to the juicy part... the money. For me, it's affiliate marketing. Specifically, I'll be going with Amazon as a selling platform on my site when I get to that point. According to Amazon's rules, I have to sell at least three things on my site through Amazon's Affiliate Program within a period of 180 days, else my account will be deactivated. That's what you call an incentive. They expect a fully up and running website, not a site that doesn't even have content yet. They want a successfully Google listed site. You don't just join up when people can't even see your site yet.
If you put things on hold for months, don't expect your postings to hit the search rankings anytime soon. It's the rankings that draw customers to your site so they can buy things. You can't just join an affiliate program, set your site up and walk away. heheh. It may be 6 months before you start seeing a dime from all your efforts. Everyone's outcomes will be different. I can't gaurantee that you will make a lot of money from your niche, just as you can't promise me with actuallity that you will put forth one hundred percent into following the courses here to a "T". You reap what you sow. Headaches? ???? Feel like giving up????? I've been there.
What Brought Me Here?
Actually, all of YOU did (and then some). I want your business. I will do everything in my power to get you to buy things from my site(s). I'm Tired of struggling! To live comfortably, one cannot survive on a single income (minus those that are established already with a nice, juicy, fixed income). We were all struggling at some point, and for some of us, we still are. By being here, you are not only showing us that you are serious about getting ahead, you're showing yourself. Say it again, "I'M TIRED OF STRUGGLING!!" Felt good, huh? :) Well, you will finally get to the part where you will succeed after so much effort.
As long as you are showing the effort, all of us here are willing to help you with your questions to get you to your goal(s). My goal is to write at least two posts within a months time. Sounds small, but I'm not used to posting such stories/topics. It takes an effort for me to get posts out such as this one. But once I'm on a roll, WATCH OUT! heheh. I'm also here because I want to be a good provider for my family. I was unable to give them the things they wished for in life. And although I can't turn back time, I can provide a new life for them to enjoy.
It Takes a Commitment
In Conclusion, it takes a commitment to everything offered here at Wealthy affiliate to get you where you want to be. Do you want to be financially secure for the rest of your life? We are at the height of the ordering online industry! If you figure out a niche, advertise it correctly, and get it listed all over the search engine(s), you will excel! There will be bumps along the way and I will still be asking quesions. Like I said earlier, I just made the listings in Google. It's a great feeling of accomplishment and it's one ✔ off my list. I need to continue to push out posts to my website so that Google can see and list all the different topics. I really want to see all of you succeed. I want to see you having a working and profitable website. Please believe in your capabilities, remove yourself from any negativity and any nay-sayers around you. Trent I felt like you were an older brother trying to make sure that you properly imparted the lessons that you just learned so that mistakes could be avoided and more success assured. This step by step is good motivation and indeed demonstration that we need to stay the course to achieve as we desire.
