Finding new affiliates
One of the things I love about the concept of affiliate marketing is finding new and creative ways to connect affiliates to my niche and blogging style. My main site at the moment is written from the perspective of my Pomeranian, so before joining WA, I thought the only way to make money would be with external ads.
While I haven't gotten the links up yet, I just connected with my first affiliate partner, which is the pet insurance company that covers our dogs, and with whom our Pomeranian had a life-saving experience.
Once I've built up enough traffic, I plan on telling that story from his perspective and offering my affiliate link. Before WA, I never would have known how to do any of this. No matter what niche you choose, it seems like there are endless ways to market things that come from your personal experiences because the content is naturally authentic. In this instance, it is far more likely that my content will come across with it's true purpose to help people, instead of sounding like I'm just trying to sell something.
What creative affiliates have you connected with for your sites?
