Remove the Superfluous Part of Your List
Sometimes, you’ll notice that, no matter how many times you’ve sent out an email in the week, some subscribers will neither click nor open. Eventually, they’ll turn all of your emails into spam messages which may hold you to ransom with the Union, Google and other major search engines.
Literally, Google evaluates and ranks blogs based on email engagement too as it does through site/visitor engagement and wouldn’t hesitate giving you a slap when found that you’ve been spamming other people with too many spam comments sent in regularly.
Because of the ranking implications this may cause for your site in search engines, it will be good to prune your email list, that is, remove the superfluous part of your list lest you get held responsible for flooding other people’s email inboxes or spam folders with lots of spam messages.
Among the many other factors, you’ll drastically reduce your bounce rates, and Google will rank you based on:
- Site engagement
- Visitor engagement; and
- Email engagement
Why did I emphasize more on these? I noticed that a lot of veteran and newbie bloggers never mind email engagement while sending out email newsletters to their subscribers. If you’re such a person who is involved, you’ll be surprised at the unexpected penalties you’ll receive from the search engines if you don’t mind these three crucial ranking factors.
Never Spam
In order to ensure you don’t get into trouble with Google, you must avoid spamming other people. Spamming activities include:
- Putting too many links in comments
- Leaving poops on other people’s blogs in form of comments
- Approving spam comments on your own blog in order to have as many comments as possible
- Sending lots of emails without engaging the subscribers and lots more.
Thanks for this training!!! It's very helpful!!!
