Squidoo Lenses are Websites Too!

If you put up a Squidoo or other free website and think you are finished, you are finished.

Now, did you get that? A left-alone lens or website is like a derelict ship to be tossed and turned by the waves of e-commerce against the rocks of competition.

I hear from new members here that they have put up a website but they have not made one red cent. You know what the problem is don’t you? There is no traffic.

If you have a website with good traffic and you are getting no commissions, there are other problems such as bad content, a bad product, a bad vendor sales page for the product, you are ian the wrong market for the product.

If you have 300 visitors to your site, 100 should click on your link. Of those 100, one (1) should buy the product and yield you a commission. That is one of the harsh realities of this business. Yes, Business!

If you are pumping a ClickBank product and if you key your ClickBank URL to your website or web page, ClickBank will give you all of these statistics. If you are not getting at least the above numbers you must change your tactics and perhaps, your product. It could be a dog to the market you are promoting.

Now are keywords important for a Squidoo lens? You bet your tootin’. Also, you will be allowed to list all your keywords on the site for your Squidoo lens by checking the right column when you are editing. In fact, when you start your page, they will ask for three (2) keywords. These you should obtain from a keyword tool. I use JAAXY.

Think about doing the following:

1. Find a niche market or a product you want to promote.

2. Make a keyword search finding low-competition keywords according to your tutorials here at WAU.

3. Prepare your Squidoo lens, adding modules defined by keyword research.

4. Add amazon product modules as needed.

5. Insert links for ClickBank or other products into the modules. Make sure that products and text work together.

6. Use the Big Arrow module to promote one special product.

7. Use video and pics often. You don’t have to make your own videos. I prefer to make my own. I put them on YouTube usually and then get the share HTML code from YouTube and put them in my text modules.

Now that looks pretty good. What’s next?

You are welcome! We try to help each other here. My idaho-in-color link is now repaired. I should have added in the tutorial, "always check your links." John

This is good. I think I will try this to see how a niche does and then maybe build a website. Thanks John. This is good for people starting out too.

Make sure you drive traffic to it. Jenifer has dozens of lenses making money. She not only plays a good game of golf, she plays a good game of marketing. John
