Although you might not know, there is a constant conflict between the two most popular social networks – YouTube and Facebook! This conflict is basically about the video-sharing function they both have.
According to statistics, YouTube is currently the largest video-sharing platform on the planet. But based on the fact that Facebook also has video sharing functions, it doesn’t take these statistics in good fate. This is why your YouTube videos on Facebook do not generate much traffic.
Some of the videos that are normally posted to YouTube include interviews, regular YouTube shows, game cheats, movies and trailers, funny videos, challenge and prank, product reviews, and how-to videos.
When you create and publish any of these videos on YouTube and share its link on your Facebook profile, Facebook Algorithm will not bring in much traffic to it. This is because any of these clickable links will take users out of Facebook’s platform. And this is something Facebook is trying really hard to keep at bay.
Guide to Posting Videos on Facebook
Knowing that Facebook and YouTube have an unending conflict, the best thing to do is post differently on both platforms. This may be stressful but is still worth it.
Here are some tips that will help you upload your videos to Facebook successfully:
- If it is a video worth sharing, then the link should be shared on your personal timeline and groups
- Place links on your descriptions
- If you want to give your video a more professional feel, add a custom thumbnail to it
- Always add captions to your videos. A lot of viewers normally watch on silent mode
- Always place a call to action on every video
This information has come a great time for me as I am just starting out with my channel.
