5. Emails Let You Show Readers the Directions of Life You Want Them to See
Through email, you can direct a lot of people to specific directions of life that you may want them to know. It could be a branch of knowledge that you may want to tutor them about, or it could be a blogging experience that you may want them to hear about. Email will do all these perfectly well for you.
One of my pros, who travels the world about with his two Australian dogs, blogging right in the plane, recently communicated with me via email as he was going on his trip to Thailand right in the plane. On landing, he sent another email to me again telling me about his experience in Thailand within his first three days of arriving there, telling me how beautiful the place is. So, email can do much more than this if you can start leveraging it for your online business.
6.Email Lists Let You Earmark the Categories of Readers You Want at a Specific Time
When a new post is just published on your blog, it automatically gets delivered to everybody that subscribed to your lists. It goes straight to every RSS and email subscriber automatically.
You can possibly group your subscribers into different categories such as:
- Those who became your subscribers at specific times - in the last two months, four months or in the last one year and so on.
- Those who don't usually check out the posts you sent to them.
- Those who haven't subscribed to the other email lists you created - this definitely will help you avoid emailing a lot of people repeatedly for informational and promotional offers.
- Those who have taken appreciable actions such as buying a product or an eBook on your site and the likes.
(i) As you’re dealing with your entire audience here presumably this it an autoresponder type eM system rather than conventional?
(ii) If so, autoresponder is an additional cost to your business, at what stage do you recommend stimulating traffic by eM, from the outset or later?
Given the above, please are you able to say a little about resource requirements. One of the challenges one has in setting up business online is finding out what it is you actually require so you may budget for it. I’m looking at Mail Chimp right now to support my blogging activity, it’s free for lists <1,000 subscribers but I understand does not like affiliate programs?
Thanks for this training. I already have an free email set up for one website but no traffic. The other doesn't have have traffic but it will need a paid autoresponder.
