I know ... I can hear you ...
Why would I duplicate a post or a page?
Well, just a few examples ...
- occasionally, when you want to re-design or enhance your site, you may want to simply copy & paste existing settings or content pieces
- creating a duplicate post or page will allow you to work on it without affecting the already published live version
- you can use the cloning feature to work simultaneously on multiple different drafts of the same post or page in order to find and produce the optimal outcome
- and more importantly, you'll be able to create an initial "frame" for a new post or page, transferring all the important elements and attributes such as page template, SEO data, content structure, formatting, featured image, etc.
All in all, it's an extremely useful feature that can help you in many different ways ... and can save you a lot of time ...
So I've decided to create this short tutorial where I will show you how easy is to duplicate your existing posts and pages on your Wordpress website.

Great post! Thanks
By using permission, do you mean we are allowed to post a duplicate post/page on are own sites?
