Though I use free CC0 pictures and images from 24 different resource websites, links to these websites I provide in two of my other tutorials, two of my favorites are Stocksnap and Pixabay. The images on the previous page were from Stocksnap. The images below are from Pixabay.
When you do a search for a picture or image on Pixabay, when the search results appear, the top most row will be Sponsored Images from Shutterstock. These pictures, as seen in the below image outlined in red, are not free to use. You will have to be a paid member of Shutterstock to use them.
But just under that top row, will be the selection of free photos and images as I have outlined in green with my search of motorcycles. When you find a picture you would like to use, just click on it and it will enlarge to a screen that will give you the details of that picture.
In the image below, I selected the picture of the motorcycle engine. If I should want to save this image on my computer for use in my website, I click the Green Free Download button to the right of it. Being that I use a Windows PC, most times I just right-click on the photo and select Save Image As.
Also take note that on that page showcasing the enlarged picture of the motorcycle engine, there is an area to the right that has some photos. These are Sponsored Images from Shutterstock and are not free, as outlined in red in the above image. The photos outlined in green along the bottom are free to use.
NEXT UP = How to find new images hidden within other pictures
Lately, I have been using the SiteRubix Content Writer to find free photos. We have over 1,000,000 free photos available for us at WA.
I keep one document on Site Content (Titled Photos) that I use to keep photos that I find while browsing my keywords on site content. Then I download them to a folder on my computer so that they are easy to view and find when I need them.
If you use Site Content to write your articles then you just insert the photos into your document.
Sometimes I cannot find what I am looking for, so I appreciated you listing these other resources.
Thanks again for your wonderful training on the free photos. I especially liked your idea on how to find hidden pictures. I had never thought of looking in other photos for what I am specifically trying to find. Duh! I normally use Pixabay so thank you for reaffirming for me that I am using the photos there correctly. I will definitely check out Stocksnap. I haven't heard of that one yet. Or if I had I have forgotten it.
Great work and thank you for your training. You always seem to know what people are looking for.
