You can edit any file directly using the toolbar menu option.

For example, after selecting the index.php file in the root folder and clicking the "Edit" toolbar button ...

... here's my editable file opened in a popup window:

Simple as that. You can make your changes and you can save them from there ...

And if you don’t want to make changes in the file, then you can simply click on the preview option to see the code ...

Also, you can access the media files in the wp-content => uploads folder, and the "Upload Files" option in the toolbar will allow you to upload multiple images with one simple click.

And yes, you can also upload zip files and then extract them in the file manager ...
