Why Webinars?

Webinars are great for a lot of stuff, but first, let's look at the reasons for using them.

  • Traditional marketing media are slowly waning in reach and engagement. Back in the days, TV was the only thing but now no one wants to sit and watch a TV commercial. At least most people I know would rather take a break than watch a TV commercial. The same goes for radio, newspapers and the likes, so a more interactive option would fit in nicely
  • Known social media networks are great platforms to connect with, but they don't give you this kind of engagement. I'm talking about an average 12% engagement rate on each webinar
  • Webinars are great when used as an extra channel to reach out to your audience. Let's say you own a blog, possibly run some podcasts too. Webinars can be used to explain concepts or some information you may have mentioned in your blog posts
  • It enables you to sit one on one with your audience and interact on a personal level. Gives your audience the chance to meet and discuss with the person behind those great blog posts
  • You can use your webinars as a platform to get live feedback from your audience

Using Webinars for Your Blog

Direct salespeople go from door to door peddling what stuffs they have for sale while others prefer cold calling in order to generate new leads, after which several meetings will hold between the salesperson and the prospect.

And this goes on and on until the prospect becomes a paying customer, or if the salesperson gives up on the prospect, and then moves to someone else.

How is this scenario related to webinars?

As a blogger, your blog is the platform through which you meet visitors. And from this platform you are able to engage them, inform them, and even entertain them.

And then it gets to the point when you need to convert them into paying customers. Well, if you are in the habit of holding webinars, the process from prospect to the customer can become seamless.

Because you are able to connect with your audience at a deeper level, the buyer's journey becomes much shorter.

That's why you should consider having webinars, so you can discuss your content with your audience. Webinars are great, not just converting leads to sales, but they offer much more value to your business.
