Here are some general Questions and Advice I came across.

  1. Is this thing Live? Or do I need to do a FTP thing-a-ma -jigger to it
    1. Yep, once you go through the process of setting it all up, the blog is live.
    2. Not to worry, you have not done a single thing yet to drive people to it, so no one will really see it until you are finished personalizing it.
    3. I was able to send the url to some friends to look at the Blog and give me some tips.
  2. What is the story with the choice of WP templates?
    1. They give you the main WA template, and offer two other WP template options, BUT the WA template has been formatted and optimized, plug-ins installed etc. all to to fit the requirements they see this blog using. Using the other choices could mess things up.
    2. I do not know why the other two are there, so just ignore them.
      1. My guess is that they can be use for other blogs you create without the Mad Marketing course.
    3. Marcus said, that eventually they might be creating other themes to use, but this thing is in the baby stage right now and that
  3. I do not get why I had to get a Host Gator Affiliate code, when I do not see a Host Gator logo-- wouldn't it be in the sidebar somewhere?
    1. There are Host Gator links in The Mad Marketing course and on one of the pages they give you
    2. When you think about it, it might be a good thing there is no "flashing alligators" on the page! lol
  4. Same thing with my Clickbank code what is it supposed to be attached to?
    1. Same reason as the HostGator affiliate link. Although I don't recall seeing any links to a Clickbank product within the course.
    2. It probably is for future use, if they eventually add anything other offers to the blog that would involve a Clickbank product.
  5. There used to be WA Graphic choices to use in promotions Can I use any of them on this WABlog Heading?
    1. Marcus is not sure, and he is checking that answer out.
    2. They seem to be making changes in the Affiliate section---
  6. ADVICE
    1. Go through all the pages that they gave you and proof read them, There are some spell check errors. you know the ones the spelling checker does not find, and an occasional comma or grammar thing. This way you will learn everything they gave you, and the approach they are taking.
    2. You will find you can adjust things here or there to put your own touch on it.
      1. Some of the analogies or references can be changed to make it more personal
      2. The headlines might be adjusted to reflect your niche or a kw you found

You want to delete the Hello Dolly plug in.

Plug ins are separate from widgets. There are hundreds of them.

Hi! Just attended a webinar on Aweber. In regards to your first question Personalize {name_fix} means that when you send out you e-mail the persons name that was entered into the request form will be used in your answering e-mail to them so you don't have to do this manually for each response. As i understood it anyway. Great post: Worth some gold! Thank you, Peter.

This is great thanks. I still have lots of questions too and I am planning to get a book on Word-press. If I come across some of the mystery answers I will be sure to send them to you. Yes Kyle and Carson have done a great job of providing us with a WP blog ready to go - it's the content and emails that I am so pleased with because copy-writing is a skill that takes time to develop and this gives us a wonderful opportunity to build a business from the beginning while learning the skills. Cheers Devan
