Answer: Anyone that wants to make money!

Good thing for you as a WA Super Affiliate is that this is pretty much everyone. If you think about people you know, have they every mentioned "money" in a conversation. It is likely a regular topic of conversation if not daily, especially if you work in a closed setting like an office that creates this sort of atmosphere.

So, broadly speaking, the target audience for WA is pretty much everyone.

We know... this doesn't help much. It was intended to show you the massive size of your audience!

When you sit down and think about it, you could target any type of person...and as long as you are relevant with their situation, you could effectively promote WA to them through relevance.

• Someone with no job could use an extra $10/day.
• Some with a low paying job could use an extra $30/day.
• Someone looking to supplement their income could use an extra $200/day.
• And some looking to become vast successful (an entrepreneur) could make an extra $1000 /day.

This covers pretty much everyone!

This means there is also huge potential. Yes, there is potential for a massive "residual" income every year for WA affiliates if you work at it! In fact, to date we have paid affiliates several million dollars in commissions.

It would not be far fetched for us to say that "earning more money" is on the mind of almost every single person, as everyone wants to have a little extra cash. This means that the audience is massive, and if you can approach your marketing with this in mind, you will be able to create opportunities (and revenue) from keywords and audiences that a typical marketer wouldn't even consider.

Remember, as a PPC marketer, the entrance point for any marketing takes place with the keyword. A specific keyword is how you target audiences...ranging from people looking for a new job, to people looking for retirement income, for people looking to make money while in school, for people looking for a way to pay their medical bills, to people looking to become better at Internet marketing.

Anyone is an audience for Wealthy Affiliate if you can make the connection between them and WA.

Here is an example that we like to call the "Taxi Driver". This will put things into perspective as to how you can take a seemingly irrelevant audience and make things relevant to WA. Remember that people want to make more money, regardless of where they are from, what they do and their current financial situation.

Taxi Job

An example of a promotion that we have tested in the past was under the keyword "taxi job"

Here are the search results that the Google Keyword Tool (free) triggered:

How the heck are you going to promote an Internet Marketing related product to someone looking for information on becoming a taxi driver? Well, what do you think this person would rather do, become a taxi driver and work crazy night shifts picking up complete strangers, or work from the comfort of their home, making a great living? I think you can answer this question.

As you can see from the previous screenshot, there is next to no competition for the taxi jobs (ie. you could get paid traffic for under $0.30 per click). Now lets look at the search volume for people looking for info on "taxi jobs".

If you add all of these together, you get 8,051 clicks every month under these terms in Google alone! This is a lot of traffic for such a seemingly small niche...and these people can easily become your target audience. You just need to position WA in a manner that would relate to them and appeal to them. A few of these that quickly come to mind are:

• work from home
• high income potential
• can work from anywhere
• does not require stressful driving
• no working with strangers

Look at what we have just done...

We have taken someone from a search looking to become a taxi driver, to becoming highly interested in Wealthy Affiliate, and potentially signing-up. If your copy is good, you should be able to obtain an opt-in at the very least.

Relate to the individual and deliver the benefits of the new opportunity you are presenting to them.

For example, "I was once in the same position as many of you, looking for a new job, a new career, somewhere to go and I stumbled upon a site telling me about Wealthy Affiliate. After much deliberation I decided to give it a try (at the most I would lose $40). It worked out to be a life-changing moment".

Something to this effect will captivate the visitors attention, and will likely induce an action on their part.

The same strategy can be used within any industry. Just targeting the job market, think of all the people out there looking for jobs right now. Taking this further, think of all the people looking for help within the Internet marketing world, people looking for web hosting, people looking to build a website, people looking to learn how to do PPC...it really goes on and on.

The flow looks like this:

Audience -> Searches Keyword -> Clicks Ad -> Relevant Landing Page -> Makes Purchase

Now lets put this into perspective with the taxi job example.

Potential Taxi Driver -> Searches "taxi cab job" -> Clicks Your Taxi Ad -> Visits Your Taxi Job Landing Page Promoting WA -> Person Decide to Join WA -> You Get $$$$

The Importance of Having a Website

One of the most common mistakes we see among people promoting WA via PPC is that they are direct linking straight to their affiliate link within their Google Ad. This may have been an effective solution in year 2000, but it no longer works within the PPC marketing arena.

If you want to be successful at promoting Wealthy Affiliate though PPC, it is important that you create your own website. A website gives you the freedom to voice your own opinions, and to leverage your own promotional ideas, something that linking directly to WA does not allow. In addition to this, you can make changes on the fly to YOUR website to improve conversions.

Here is the WRONG way to market WA:

Driving your PPC traffic straight to Wealthy Affiliate without an intermediate page does not give you an opportunity to "sell," nor does it give you the opportunity to connect to your audience though a relevant page. Although Wealthy Affiliate is relevant to making money, it won't be relevant to precise keywords. You need your own website for this!

Here is the RIGHT way to market WA:

The right way to do things is to have an intermediate page that you send your PPC traffic to. This will allow you to be relevant to the exact keywords that the person coming to your page searched, allow you to leverage your own ideas and opinions and allow you to have full control of the sales funnel leading to the Wealthy Affiliate page. Having the short and long run and a web page is 100% necessary to be a successful PPC affiliate.

In the next section we are going to discuss ways that you can get going on the development of your very own site with very little investment and no prior knowledge of creating pages.

Getting Your Site Going Using Site Rubix

We have created a proprietary website creation tool here at Wealthy Affiliate called Site Rubix. You have likely heard of this before, and have probably even tinkered around with it. We are not going to explain how it works here because we have created some good resources on how to use it and many members have created Site Rubix tutorials to help walk you through the process of setting up a site.

In order to have a website, you need a domain (need to purchase), hosting (free at WA), and you need to have a website (which you can use Site Rubix to build).

The very first thing you need to do is buy a domain. Domains are cheap, fortunately. You can pick up a .com domain for around $7 per year, and we recommend using 1and1.com for this as they tend to offer the cheapest domain prices.

When selecting your domain, you want to pick one that is going to be relevant to your promotions of WA.

For example, www.internet-marketing-reviews.com is a quality domain, as it is relevant to what your domain is going to offer, reviews of Internet marketing products. However, a domain such as i-love-dogs.com is probably not the best choice, as it is not all that relevant to WA! Don't fret too much about your domain name though. As long as it is relevant to reviews or making money, it will be perfectly fine.

Review Pages Really Do Work The Best!

At this point, you should now know at the very least where to go to build your site. Before you start constructing your first site, we want to let you in on a little industry knowledge...

REVIEW SITES CONVERT LIKE CRAZY!!!

When people buy something online, they like to make an informed decision. This usually requires them reviewing many different sites and many different products. The only real reason they have to visit multiple sites is because somewhere along the line they did not feel fully informed to make a purchasing decision.

This is where you come in as the affiliate of WA. There are so many products within the "make money" field that when people do their research online to choose a program that fits them best, they naturally review.

If you can cut the "review" aspect out of the process for them, you will increase conversions. What we mean by this is that you offer a review of the "top products" within the make money industry...deciding on a clear winner, then you are in business.

Here is how the process of someone that purchases online make look:

• Step 1: Person searches term "make money online" in Google
• Step 2: The come to a site that only promotes PRODUCT_A
• Step 3: Person learns a bit about Internet marketing, and does a search for "top Internet marketing course"
• Step 4: Person visits page outlining PRODUCT_B, which is an Internet marketing e-book
• Step 5: Person searches term "PRODUCT_B review" in Google
• Step 6: Person comes to your page with the top 7 products review, Wealthy Affiliate being #1
• Step 7: Person is convinced and decides to join Wealthy Affiliate

Here is how it would have been "shortened" if the person hit a review site first:

• Step 1: Person searches term "make money online" in Google
• Step 2: The come to a site that only promotes PRODUCT_A
• Step 3: Person learns a bit about Internet marketing, and does a search for "top Internet marketing course"
• Step 4: Person visits your page with a review of the "top Internet marketing courses", Wealthy Affiliate being ranked #1
• Step 5: Person is convinced and decides to join Wealthy Affiliate

So how we took two steps out of the search by simply adding a review site to the mix. The affiliate that was promoting the Internet marketing e-book in Step 4 of the first example missed out on the sale simply because the person had to go on to do further research...in other words they did not feel informed enough to make a purchasing decision.

And check this out, if you create a really good review page, the flow from start to finish could look like this:

• Step 1: Person searches term "make money online" in Google
• Step 2: Person visits your page with an explanation of how to make money online, and you offer a review of the "top programs to make money online", Wealthy Affiliate being ranked #1
• Step 3: Person is convinced and decides to join Wealthy Affiliate
  

This is the not as probable, but if you have a "great" review page, it can happen.

So what makes a review page "great" from one that is just "good". There are a few things that you should incorporate into all of your Wealthy Affiliate pages and consider when you are developing your content.

(1) Be personal

The use of your name or a pen name on your page is a good idea, along with a picture (if you feel comfortable doing do). By relating to people, you will be connecting with them on an emotional level. If they see that you are just like them and not some "superhero", they will feel much more comfortable taking your advice. Use first person words like "I", "me", "us" in your writing.

(2) Offer support

If you offer support to people on your site if they have questions about WA prior to signing-up, they will feel much more comfortable heeding your advice. You are not hiding behind any barriers when you do this. People will not contact you very often believe it or not, however, if they do, they will become an almost guaranteed Wealthy Affiliate member as you will be able to personal answer their questions and outline why WA will be beneficial to them.

(3) Let people know that you are a member of WA

This may seem very simple, but letting people know that you are an active member at WA can lead to much better conversions. There is nothing worse than an anonymous review that sounds no different than the sales page...and sounds like it is by someone who doesn't even use the product themselves. As an active member of WA, you should let people know this...it will give you much more credibility.

Here is an example of a review page:

Obviously you will be able to tell this is not the best page because it does not cover the three points above, but you can use this as an example of how to create relevant review pages. In this case, the page is targeting "Internet marketing product" keywords.
