First, let me quickly explain just what a niche is:

The best thing to remember when choosing your niche, is a niche is quite simply a group of people. Targeted niches are a more refined group of people who are searching for a very specific thing (for instance, those searching for "ways to lose weight" is a very large niche of people, but those searching "ways to lose weight without exercise" or "how to lose the baby weight" are a more targeted audience).

To make it even easier, think of a niche as something you would type into a search menu when looking for information or a product online. If you needed a blender to make baby food, you're likely to search "best blenders to make baby food", which is an excellent niche idea!

If you need some more examples, you should take healthcare, for instance. Healthcare is a very broad "niche" (not really a niche, more of a general topic). You could refine this to heart healthcare, and further to blood pressure. You could then go to an even more specific niche, like "how to lower blood pressure naturally", which is a great place to start.

On your website, you could then write about "top ten spices that lower blood pressure" or "try these 3 natural supplements to help lower your blood pressure". Remember that these are post ideas, not niches, so please don't get the two confused.

Now, let's get onto the point of this page. To find your niche, you'll need to make a list of some of your favorite things to do, talk about, practice, or learn about.

It's good to start with a list of about 5-10 general topics. Out of these, try to come up with 4 sub-niches each. If you are having trouble coming up with your sub-niches, please feel free to private message me. Here are some examples to get you started:

Once you have your 20 or so sub-niches chosen, think really hard about which direction you want your website to go in.

Try to narrow down your choices to around the top 5 best sub-niches. See how many post ideas as you can think of off the top of your head. Whichever niche that you can come up with the most post ideas is the niche you should pursue.

Always go with a niche that you have lots of knowledge on. You'll be writing several posts a week to get content onto your site, so you need to choose a subject you know a LOT about or have tons of experience on.

On the next page, we are going to learn about how to research our niche to confirm it's a good choice.

Thank You so much. Really great content.
It really helps me to read time and again that a niche can be changed, and that is better to try something "one" thinks is THE niche to start.
