Adding Images to Post in WordPress

Images are another interesting thing we can add to our post or pages in WordPress. WordPress makes this insertion and alignment pretty easy to achieve.

Let us get started,

Open up your page or post to insert an image, click on the point where you intend inserting image as shown below. Now click on the Add Media button right on top of your page, It should take you to an interface where you can click on upload file to upload files from your computer and also a media library where you can select from your already uploaded images.

At this point, it is good I point out some very important items. Before uploading your image, ensure your image is given a proper file name. Also on the media interface, towards the left ensure the alt text, title and description are properly filled and your keyword properly inserted. These are essentials for search engine optimization. Along Side, this list of items in the box for caption, with this you can add a caption to your images.

Back to the image, you have the option as regards the placement of your image, it all depends on you. There are 4 basic options:

1. No alignment
2. Align Left
3. Align right
4. Align centre
