3) Make your Headline Appealing
Every one of us had used Google to search for something at one time or the other. And every time there are multiple options to choose from, our first point of call is always headlines that catch our attention. Coming up with these headlines can be a little challenging.
To overcome this, remember to use your keywords appropriately, do not just copy and paste your keywords. You can creatively wrap words around them.
For example :
If my keyword is: ways to overcome diabetes
I can write a headline like, "8 ways to overcome diabetes and stay healthy".
You can always polish your keywords with words like best, understand, improve, and lots more. Think of a creative way to attract your audience and get them engaged.
4) Work towards Readable Content
Making your content readable is of great value. If your content is easy to read, people will spend more time on your page.
Readability should be seen as part of optimization. While you are busy placing keywords, remember that a much more readable article will be easily optimized than one that is not engaging and readable.
Search engines have algorithms that are used in evaluating the readability of your content. Let see possible suggestions that can be a guide in making your content readable.
a) Make it simple: Avoid ambiguous words, make it as simple as possible. Use simple words that can pass the meaning on to your audience. Big grammar will not pass the message simply.
b)Avoid lengthy sentences: When your sentences are too long, they can become confusing and difficult to understand. Shorten your sentences and an easy way to achieve this is to write the way you talk.
Always, format your article properly. Site Content or Grammarly can be very helpful here.
Because reading so much research, one will have a hard time deciding what to write, and all the way others are writing are so good already!
One great thing I learnt was to decide the scope of what I want to write, then go read up other websites on it, and then write what I know.
