Let's Find Out About ICANN Domain Name Extensions

ICANN - Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers

(Before Domain Names were formulated, websites were identified by a number called an address. Now they still have the address in number form, but it's disguised with a name. Thus this definition includes numbers).

The image above was not just a random selection, it was chosen specifically for the many possibilities that these icons could be interpreted for.

Such are the possiblities of ICANN Domain Name Extensions. They range from any idea you can think up in a word, or any word you would like to choose. This is the latest form of a Domain Name Extension making the possibilities endless.

There are however conditions to using these extensions and some have even become Trademarks which bear legal consequences should you choose to use them.

Make sure that you take extra care and precautions when choosing a name that is similar to any already spoken for domain extensions.

Some examples include:

These are but a few examples of the many that can be chosen from.

There are plenty more in other languages, such as French, German, Hindi, and Italian.

Now that we know about ICANN Domain Name Extensions, let's find out about Corporate Domain Name Extensions.

Glad you were able to glean from the info and bookmark it.

On the contrary, it was the one country that had good examples, not all countries have the Second Level Domain Names readily available :-)))

@Cristina11 - Carson has replied and this is his explanation:

Facebook "Like" buttons have been removed from WA simply because the sharing functionality was not working properly and the process of Liking, then commenting on your "Like" from within WA was confusing at best. We removed this to stop any confusion.

Going forward, to share a link at WA you can do this in two quick steps:

1 - Click on your "Affiliate" link button within any blog post, training, or question at WA, then copy that link.

2 - Paste your link directly into Facebook.

This process has been working much better for people and visibility of their shares at FB using this process is much better.

Hope this clears things up,

Carson
