I will provide an example. This morning when I signed on to WA, I saw someone left me a comment on my niche site to a page where there is no mention of WA. The first sentence of their comment was:
âWar games? Itis amazing the variety of nicheâs people chose at Wealthy Affiliate University where I too am a member.â
This sentence could be construed as making fun of someoneâs niche (or passion). I am saying "could be" - not saying that was the intention. In this case, it would be my late father's passion because that is my niche â my Dad and his works and continuing his legacy. Furthermore, as I said, mentioning Wealthy Affiliate in a comment where there is no mention of WA anywhere in the page or post is not relevant nor appropriate.
This particular WA member also mentioned that this is ânot my cup of teaâ. Statements like that are also not appropriate. If you are not comfortable for any reason leaving a comment on someone's website, then please don't. No one is forcing anyone to leave a comment. You will see people kindly asking for comments, but no one is forcing you. So, when visiting someone's website with the intention of leaving a comment, put your personal feelings aside and keep it positive and upbeat.
That being said, if you want to engage in ahealthy debate about a subject brought up in a page or post, that is fine and shows engagement and discussion â the key word here is âhealthyâ.
